Hey, I'm Chuck Ledgerwood...are you tired of seeing gold detecting videos showing how to collect trash? Bottle tops, bullets, bbs, and even pieces of pipe. Well, this is the right channel for you. I only post GOLD nuggets because everyone can find trash...even in your front yard.

What an Awesome Day! The biggest of 30 Gold Nuggets detected with Minelab GPX 6000
This was just a few days after my doctor mentioned the words Parkinson's Disease for the first time. Needless to say, I needed this type of awesome gold detecting day. I mean this kind of gold nugget haul would cheer up anybody. Thirty nuggets in one day using a Minelab GPX 6000 detector. Weighing just shy of an ounce! This video captures the biggest nugget except for a 20 second section just after I saw the nugget. Let's just say that my partner didn't share my happiness. Edited for his despicable attitude and his foul language.
Even having to deal with such negativity from my partner, I consider this haul as a GREAT MEMORY. One that outweighed the initial Parkinson's diagnosis and it certainly ranks much higher than a jealous person. By listening to the unedited version, I feel 100% better about removing myself from the partnership. Good riddance!

Enjoy my latest gold detecting experience while I find the source of gold nuggets on my gold claim. Every gold detectorist wants to find a Residual Gold Placer, the source of nuggets broken off the original lode deposit. I did just that! Follow the Drywashers, Nugget Haul
มุมมอง 2776 หลายเดือนก่อน
This episode Chuck is following a recent Drywashing digsite. They must not have had a quality gold detector because they left a handful of gold nuggets. Watch how Chuck easily detects and scoops up the gifts from the drywasher. Today's gold haul was detected with a GPX 6000, all under 3 hours. The gold pieces aren't big but they all add up to prove it's wise to follow drywashers.

Welcome Otis, the "Gold Digger", to On The Gold Again
มุมมอง 896ปีที่แล้ว
Today I would like to introduce Otis "The Gold Digger". He's a high strung doggo ready to dig his own gold nuggets! Looks like I've created a monster here so I better get rid of that metal collar. We truly are living on borrowed time here in Montana because any day now the ground becomes much more difficult to dig gold nuggets. FROZEN.

How Many Gold Nuggets Are There?

Chuck ledgerwood died yesterday! Heart Attack!
Hello, fellow viewers. I am Chuck's cousin. Today I got an unwanted phone call. I thought Chuck would want you all to know. Chuck has had a lot of health issues, Parkinson's being only one, but he was always a man, tough as nails and into the great outdoors. When any species is away and feels the end drawing near, our final mission and goal is simply to make it home. Chuck made it home. I'm afraid I don't know the details yet, but he did pull out enough power that he did make it home. I'm sorry to give you all this news, but I'm sure he'd want you to know. And as he is unable to say it, Thanks for watching!

Nice job !! Im a gold miner myself and have been recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease , hopefully I can still be an active miner ive been very lucky recently finding some huge nuggets!! Good luck
@@robertcoyle9623 the plan is to be as active as I possibly can...but as you know, the pain and rigidity wins some days. Good luck to you too.
How come your monster sounds like that?
@@βιζζγΚιδ it does sound a little different. Kind of a throaty sound. I think the speaker may be wearing out.
Huge nugget…don’t come across that size very often. Good job
Thank you...that size of nugget is so fun and it's something you try to remember.
Nice job. Thats a good looking nugget. Congrats.
@@ProspectorRalph Thanks. Nuggets like that don't come that often.
@onthegoldagain agreed 😎
Your monster makes a different sound than most. Why's that? Revision maybe?
@@Me-jk3km I have noticed that...I think that I've used it so much with nearly every day usage that the speaker sounds different now.
Now I’m thinking about chopping down my GM1000 lol, any tips?
@@Mark-t2z8v ya, if your in a hole a lot or back pack or you you detect deep targets...it's GREAT! The coil wire bunches up in a big glob unless you tape it down. Doesn't seem to affect the sensitivity of detector either. Might need some tape to build up the rod for tight fit.
The big nugget would look better if it was hanging around my neck. 😅😂😊 Very nice find.
@@ourmthomeongamblercreek7291 it looks pretty awesome in my hand too... 😂

GREAT JOB" CHEERS from over the Lolo pass -Lewis County Idaho! 3 grammer?
3.71 grams. It's a cool feeling when you see something on the ground and think "hey, that looks like gold".
good stuff! great finds and a beautiful piece of jewelry.
Poor Ottis. He must really be embarrassed about his human. The nut digs around all day, throwing rocks and dirt around, acting disappointed about it. Then suddenly becomes all excited about a stupid speck, out of all the rocks and dirt. "What is wrong with this guy?!" :D
@@SportingDrivesinColorado hahaha ya Otis is disappointed a lot because his human won't let him chase chipmunks all day.
@@onthegoldagain Our old dog was so excited to let me know our trap finally caught a bird one day. I went out to let the poor little thing out of the birdfeeder, and the dog dropped her head down low and slowly walked away, obviously very disappointed that her human was too clumsy to retrieve a bird from a trap. :D
C'mon, Ottis! Step up to the plate, man!
Awesome 👌
Nice nugget

thanks...its fun
Thanks for listing your equipment. I may have to pick up that Dewalt 20V chipper hammer. Also, thanks for saying your approximate location bc sometimes I start watching a video only to find they’re in North Carolina or Georgia which is way different than west of the Mississippi. You have a great attitude towards life: instead only doing physical therapy in a building you get outside to do it and find some gold in the process. Two important things in life is ATTITUDE and KEEP MOVING!
@@MPrybil that chipping hammer is GREAT! I also use it in the winter when ground is froze. Thanks for the kind words.
Nice! I was wondering. Do your witching skills ever come into play?
@@SportingDrivesinColorado I thought about that but I don't have much faith it works. Other prospectors swear by it... 😆 What I would like is Ground Penetrating Radar...GPR

@@Rockymountainprospector gotta love the good days... Bad days aren't that bad either.
great video. Did the drywasher turn up any fines?
@@ryonlabaw1498 nope, nothing.
Locate the most concentrated pockets of gold by learning the physics involved in dowsing. In the 1970's my father and I reverse engineered the physics involved in dowsing (the same physics that energizes the alarm on electronic metal detectors), and invented the modern light weight ball bearing dowsing rod for locating our old core-drill on the exact center of gold and silver veins that are buried under 200 feet of glacier rock and till, which worked out perfectly for us. These dowsing physics and dowsing techniques are too important to the world for myself to selfishly take to the grave, so I wrote the book for teaching the world how to apply physics in dowsing, with marketing my book at the lowest price possible so that more people can buy my book for learning how to apply physics in dowsing. My book: The Art of Dowsing - Separating Science from Superstition ($14.95), by Michael Fercik, teaches the world all the physics involved in dowsing and how to build the modern light weight ball bearing dowsing rod, which is the only dowsing rod that accurately gauges the element being dowsed by pitting the energy of gravity against the energizing of the pure one-tenth ounce dowsing rod load that is tapped onto the ELEVATED acetylene welding rod, which free spins on ball bearings. This precisely gauges the dowsing of all edges, exact center, depth buried with angle of deposition, and most important is grading or deciphering the amount of the dowsed element that is contained in the elemental mass that is being dowsed. Anybody can become a professional dowser by practicing my book's dowsing lessons of buried pipelines and electrical cables, tunnels and voids, precious and base metal placer and lode deposits, dowsing for treasure, dowsing for any element, amplified long distance dowsing from a moving vehicle, and dowsing on water from a boat. I hope dowsing enriches your life intellectually and financially.
You got a pretty big hole goin there mister

Good video . Time wise and content . Good spot , maybe it will pay off for a long while . Enjoyed it
Thanks a bunch
God bless and wish you the best.
I'll be waiting for more episodes. :)
For cashing in... do you refine and melt your own gold, sell nuggets as mineral specimens, or take it somewhere? What?
@@SportingDrivesinColorado luckily the gold on my claims are very pure and nuggets are so coarse that they look like they fell off the lode deposit yesterday. They are excellent collectable nuggets and can sell up to 1.5x spot price of gold. The big nuggets and specimens with quartz still attached go higher.
Keep that detector turned on! Lol! Well, as we hit about 40, I think the rest of life is all about raging against the night, anyhow. Keep on keeping on and hanging on to an active life as long as we can. Parkinson's, rheumatoid, psoriatic arthritis, strokes, man! Middle age and beyond is where it's all at! :)
@@SportingDrivesinColorado the detector is on most every day...got 7 yellow rocks yesterday! You keep on keeping on too!
Rock on, Cousin! :)
You might try a Nicotine patch. They say it seems to help. Do some research.
That's a new one on me...seems like results in tests haven't convinced health experts.
I'm about to go to the doctor I have symptoms of Parkinson's .I'm really hoping not but it is what it is. I will be waiting for your videos and best of luck mining.
