I do agree though (and maybe it is just because of some things that my family members have said about big ten schools), but I do agree that an attitude check needs to happen RE this only happened bcuz sports gets hyped up 24-7. I love NU stuff but never want NU to get to the level where it is ok to do stuff because it is "sports" or "Nebraska"

or any one of a number of things. Military isn't the only place that deals with death and yea I get that PSU situation isn't on the same level but to say there is no loss on campus and no point for their campus needing the connection of our (NU's) game is not exactly true I believe either.

As for the firestorm comment, nobody said that it was on the level of fire that a person in military gets from life--that is an exceptional person. Would it be ok though if a athlete on a football team thought of their leader as being respectful and then dealt with emotional loss regarding their feelings about them being proved otherwise. To that end, the emotional loss of military death could be comparably minimum to I bet I could find somewhere on the internet of a child dealing with cancer

@guarddog22 Playing a game was about giving the students who did nothing to cause this mess a chance to just exist for this week. I think it is your judgement to say that his "kneeling in prayer" was fake and for camera when shocking I bet to you he does that every week. It is called putting sports into perspective.

@drnkinirish I agree. What people who post like Guard dog don't get? All players who go to campus are doing IS damage control to some extent. But to tell a 20 year old OMG 12 years ago when you were between the ages of 7-8 how could you have not known is lame? And Ron Brown is known for his sincerity of his faith being VERY strong so I would not doubt how sincere he was.

All u washington fans hatin on nebraska need to be quiet. Even at the end of the game, we ran the dive with burkhead 5 timess, and averaged 8 yard per carry that drive. if those 2 penalties would have gone ur guys' way, then it might have been a different game, but what happened, HAPPENED.
