Thanks so much for walking me through that process!
Love the video come e’m coming bro! 😎
what are the specs on the f150?
So I can use my 245/40/ R 18 tires on a 18 x 9.5 rim? It won’t stretch or be too much for the tire? Thanks
I’m getting the exact wheel set up, will you need hub centric rings and do you think it matters if I pick 245/35R18 tires or 245/40R18 tires
Hello I have a 2020 Wrx Sti and I wanted to get these rims however the issue I’m having is which size rim do I go with Either the 19 or 18? I plan to get RCE Yellow lowering springs and I don’t know which size to pick from. When I had on my 18in XXRs 527 they made my car shake while driving and I went back to stock wheels and it went away. I can’t remember the type of tires I had on but they were low profiles and I also have Cusco suspension parts installed. Maybe the suspension was to stiff for those rims and tires? I just don’t want for that to happen again. Would you have any recommendations?
I have 18/9.5 +35
What size are you using now? And is it in stock suspension? I was planning on using 255 on my stock suspension Sti 2019
what type of lugs are you using? and do you have a hubcentric ring?
I have 265/35/18 with a 18x9.5 +38 stock suspension. No rubbing No issues Slight poke. IMO perfect amount of poke
From center cap to fender, how many inches?
did this mess with your speedo readings?
Hello there I have exact fitment but I wanna run a different tire setup, thinking of running a 265/35/18 will I have issues ?
Fellow Canadian
so i have a 20 sti which I bought in 2021 it came stock with 19" tires and wheels. i got a flat last week after abusing the tires for 2 years and i just bought the toyo hp2 18" instead of 19 but I got them in 255/34/18 94W and I got ESR CR1 wheels in 18x9.5 x100. Do you think I will have an issue with the set up since I went down 1 inch from stock? and do you think I will have any issues in the future?
Love the video sir..well done.
Where is STIMikey located in?
CT
love the fitment bro , i got ah couple of questions if you could reply to this comment asap ?
Looks perfect. I’d preferred a smidget more width though.
Nice!! Was looking to add this to my 2018 STI with a completely stock suspension setup. Will I run into issues ?
If I have a 18x9.5 35 offset with a 245/40R18 tire would it rub if I’m lowered?
Check on Reddit if you didn't get an answer.
There's nothing flush with that setup. If you drop a string (plumb bob), the string is not going to fall straight to the ground. A +42 is flush; +38/+35 are both poke.
How about 18x9.5 +40 offset 265/35. any experience with that? you think that will rub? or do i need fenders rolled? thanks
I'm running 18x9.5 +38 offset, 265/35/18 - no rubbing, no issues, stock height. +40. Yu're good with 265/35. You may need to roll rear fenders if you're thinking of dropping the car.
@@Martin944turbo i actually ended up ordering +45 offset....cause i was thinking doing a minor drop like 1 inch. i should be good huh? 18x9.5 +45 offset 265/35/18. TE37 saga s plus with yokohama neova tires
@@channelgreen5949 I think 1 inch should be good. May need to get 255 tires. I know there are other factors like tire company sizes differ, how many people are sitting in the back seat, etc. Once I install my wheels (next Thursday) and install lip kit, I'll see if I like the car at stock height and then see a specialist if I want to drop it. That's the advantage of coilovers over springs, you can adjust everything to get it right. Good luck! Stressful sometimes.
Isn't that stretching the tire?
Also did you try 265 35 18r?
Wait, so that's why my wrx fenders looks a little rolled. I though my subaru dealer sold me used car instead of new car lol. Thanks for the Info!
Haha. Anytime
It’s not just the 18+ either. I bought my 15 new and the rears had a slight roll
Hello sir that is really a great set up on your car. Looks very aggressive. I’ve got a question sir. I have a 2020 Honda Civic hatchback sports touring with a 235/40/18 stock wheels. I’m trying to upgrade it the same what you have 245/40/18 on a 18/9.5 without any suspension modification. Do you think it will be fine to. No scrubbing or rubbing? Please give me an idea I’m new to this. Don’t wanna make mistakes. Thanks
Hey man. You could easily run a 245/40/18 tire. Rim specs I’m not too familiar with civic. Check out fitment industries bro.
Awesome setup!!! So I been doing my hw but I don’t know if I will need to roll the fenders, but you just said they come rollled already so hopefully I don’t. I’m about to install 19x10 +35, and lower it a little from stock with coilovers, but I guess I’ll have to see when I take it to the shop. I’ve seen others on fitment industries run it and they say no running so let’s see how it goes
Thanks bro! I’m thinking you will need to roll and pull for sure. But it’s going to look sik dude.
sup bro i have a 20’ wrx performance package i was wondering if i should go with sti fitment or wrx cause i have brembos
Oh nice man. I’d run a 18x9.5 +38 for a nice flush fit 💯💯💯
245/40 18 is the tire size im going for. Would 18x8.5 35 offset or 18x9.5 with a 35 or 38 offset. Not sure which is best for stock suspension setup
I’d run 18x9.5 +38 for best fit and resale bro
These wheels are 18X9.5 with a 245 tire and there is no stretch?
Very slight
@@byeevo5961 Nice.
Slight
Dr57 comes w/ tpms?
Bro dr57 comes w/ tpms?
No it doesn’t bro
Would an 18x9.5 +38 wrapped in a 265/35/18 cause any fitment or rubbing issues on stock suspension?
On stock suspension it won’t have any issues bro . Just when you lower it, you will need to roll fenders.
@BYEEVO what about a 255/40/18 on stock suspension?
Any problems with scraping with the drop? And did you have to adjust front camber at all?
No scraping and yes, minor adjustments in front and rear
i got tein coilovers, and i have a steep driveway that barley makes it with stock height, i’m lost on how low i should drop it. got the 245/40/18 tire with a 18x9.0+30 AVID AV6’s. Will be installing it this week, hopefully i won’t need spacers 💔
Hope all goes well bro.,
Will this setup works on a stock suspension bro?
Absolutely!
so i got some wheels today for my 2020 STi the specs are 18x9.0 +30 offset, i plan on getting Tein Lowering springs , so what tire size do you think would be best for that specific wheel spec i got?
U could run 255/35/18 or 245/40/18 no problems at all. Personally the ride quality of the 245/40/18 is a lot better. I think that would be a perfect tire size for your set up .
@@byeevo5961 thanks , i’m debating on which one to get tbh, terrified ima get the wrong tire size that would fit the look i’m going for Lol. i’m new to this fitment and all that, these are the first ever aftermarket wheels i purchase. But what’ would be the difference with the 255 and 245? Which one would u personally think would look better and not goofy if you know what i’m trynna say. Appreciate it a lot once again!
@@trvpluiss honestly I’ve had both and with your offset I’d go 245/40.. 255 would poke a bit much and I find it looks ugly.. 245/40 will be flush and the ride is a lot better then a 35..
@@byeevo5961 thanks man , i appreciate it. Will keep you updated !! Also you think i would need spacers so that it can clear the brembos ? i have 20’ WRB STi Haven’t test fitted them because i don’t have the proper tools and still needa order the tires.
@@trvpluiss anytime. I would think u would need spacers but all depends on wheels style. Check fitment industries online and you should find the answer bro.
What you think about 265/40/18 18 by 9.5 22offset
40 is a little much on a 265 . 265/35/18 will work better . That offset is pretty aggressive and will poke a lot.. also plan on rolling and pulling bro.
I actually pulled and rolled my fenders, on my fronts, you think this setup will still be flush?
Oh nice man.. not sure on the tires you’re running but yes its pretty much flush and you are able to go low 😁
Where did you get your tires @, love how they look!
Tires are from JSPEC .. firehawk indies 💯
Tire brand?
Firehawk indies 💥
Perfect!
Thanks!
Would the same set up be possible on a 2017 wrx? Thanks in advance
For sure bro
This fitment has coils on?
Ya man. Tein flex Z
No way lol been looking for a video with this setup for days ahah just happened to click on this video.
Haha. Awesome dude
Thanks for the video.. nice set up..looking to get new rims for 2018 wrx... what's your spring rate on your coils?
Sorry can’t remember off the top of my head. Tein flex Z
Love your build. When you say you dropped the height, do you have any issues with speed bumps and pot holes hitting the front splitter? I'm looking to go with the same specs you have :)
Thanks man! No issues at all .. I’d say it’s 1.2 all around drop .
1.2 not 1.4? Because were same coils but I got stock wheels and plan putting 20mm spacers ..
Thanks, this info helped me see things more clearly
Thanks bro!
I have a 2015 STI on stock suspension will these work or am I gonna have to roll fenders ?
No problem at all. 👌🏻
u running those wheels with hub rings?
Yes sir
Ohhh is byevo 😁
