Anyway... footage from the first Sound Transit 2 line to exit from the south end of the line. Pretty cool. I am very easily entertained... like everyone else cheering for a train

I / We Actually go to this Sears. This Is our local Sears and this mall is our local mall in South Seattle. Before, while in Kenmore WA and Capitol Hill North Seattle, Northgate was our local mall and Sears Shoreline was our local Sears Store as well as Downtown Seattle Lander Street with a Starbucks and OfficeMax
Are you using a Gopro chest strap? Also will you revisit this store?
I used a mirrorless camera on a gimbal. It allows for the video to be pretty stable with that setup
As of November 2023, The Sears at Yakima Valley Mall in Union Gap, Washington has reopened. Please if You Can able to do walkthrough there as well
In Whittier, California the third floor of a Sears was blocked off. Now the 2nd floor is also closed there and only the ground floor is open whereas the other 2 floors are most likely permanently closed
The Sad part is that this Sears has become the First and only Store to permanently close restrooms over drug issues
6:22 Used to Have the following Departments on the third floor: Home Electronics (went away / liquidated in 2019) Appliances (Sale of Whirlpool and its 3 brands Maytag, KitchenAid and Jennair stopped in 2017) Tools Fitness Equipment Lawn and Garden (went away in 2020/21 and Craftsman Lawn and Garden is no longer available on the Sears website) Videos of the Store Tour and the elevator Have Shown floor 3 closed off, leading us to Believe that it is permanently closed
4:50 and Now they have Sold the Existing inventory for the Shoes department but they Won't order more. Just like Whirlpool Appliances. Partnership Started all the way back in 1916. Now as of October 2017 they stopped selling Whirlpool and its brands Maytag, KichenAid and Jenn-Air

In an alternate universe, Sears embraced the internet and worked hard to take their giant paper catalogs and order processing system online. They fell back on their roots. In that universe there is no Amazon.

I have been to that Sears twice in 2021 and this year (Few months ago this video existed). In 2021, I filmed this store and it almost had everything in first and second floor while the third story was closed. The crazy thing is, I did actually managed to get up to the third floor using the elevator. I filmed everything up there and I can tell going up there was dark and creepy with a bit of lights on. Electronics department, appliances department, and tool department would've been altogether in that third floor. It's too bad that it got downgraded when every remaining items had to be transferred to second and first floor. Overall, awesome video!
There was also a Lawn and Garden department on floor 3 as well

I shopped a lot at Sears in the 70s and 80s they were a great store back then.

The one thing missing from the light rail is the seats in the front car of the Seattle monorail that lets you see out the front of the monorail. Sigh

You think is fast? 100kmh tram-trains are common in Europe. S700 had only 520kw, a low performing copy of the original tram-train: the Vossloh/Stadler "City-Link" that has 840kw... (+320kw lol) and its limited to 110kmph... imagine this video train but with twice the power... and option for hybrid engines (and now Stadler is developing a hydrogen one). Tram-trains are the future of inter-city transport.
Great - practically empty - great use of taxpayer money - I hear they are so stupid they don't even enforce payments by riders so how many of those few getting on the light rail actually bought a ticket? Total garbage system end to end - they should shut it down and fire all the idiots who are leaching off the taxpayers for this fiasco.

@@dvferyance What I meant is that the suburban portion of the Seattle light rail looks similar to the suburban portion of the DC Metro. The only difference is that the DC Metro is heavy rail.
@@Leonard_Wilson I see I have never been on the suburban portion of DC just the underground portion. I have been in the tunnels of the Seattle light rail back in the days when the busses used them. I thought a bus subway was very unique but now it's a real subway.
