While I prefer the Colette event in Flanoir, there is some stuff you miss unless you if you say no to her. Two other companions will come and visit Lloyd as well, and if you say no to them too, then Kratos will appear. It’s been a while, though iirc, that’s the only way to have him rejoin your party. He’ll take the place of Zelos later in the story. You’ll have to kill Zelos though.
I love Zelos so much though, it would be hard to kill him TT^TT
