I love how people 'identify in different ways. This generation see themselves very much as 'from' the local area they were born (which of course is exactly where they are from). Previous generations may have answered this question differently - even when they too were born in Sydney. Many still identified being 'from' another nation - and some of them had ever even been there! I knew Lebanese kids and Italian kids growing up who were born here, but would have answered this question with 'I'm Lebanese' etc. It just goes to show how much changes over just one generation. I'm so glad we are a much more inclusive nation now - though we still have a long way to go with some of the new migration waves. This video proves - we just need time. Great Job Abbey.
