Veilguard mage gameplay
Just having some fun with an ability spam spell blade. Even when I a little sloppy it brings a ton of damage and I-frames.

Abyssal High Dragon vs squishy squad

Thought I'd celebrate picking my squishy squad play thr back up by slaying a dragon. Feels right that I had the same dragon ready to go as in my very first recording. Poor thing never stood a chance.

While not quite as much fun for me as the AR vanguard, this sentinel is a blast to play and highly effective.

Rogue Squad vs Highland Ravager

I spent the ability points that I had been saving up since level 12, the difference having Pincushion makes is incredible. Rogue Squad is definitely my favourite of the all one class runs in Dragon Age: Inquisition. store.playstation.com/#!/tid=CUSA00220_00

A tougher this time around, due in no small part to a bit of unfortunate companion AI at the start. Next stop, the Highland Ravager! store.playstation.com/#!/tid=CUSA00220_00

This went even better than I thought it would, I don't have the key passive ability Pincushion yet. That choice was required so that I could get elemental mines as early as I did. store.playstation.com/#!/tid=CUSA00220_00

Question is : how are you able to use Flare at this stage when it's only unlocked in Aria quest, later ? Even NG+ you still have to unlock it by doing Aria quest.
@@imemoria8144 once you unlock a bonus power in one play through it becomes available in every other play through, right from the start.
Great video! :) you never miss warrior in your party? Isn't it "harder" without a tank?
@@lorgren4002 In the early game there are some encounters that can be hard, any group that has a soldier with a tower shield for sure. Those encounters were easier with this party setup than they were in my full rogue squad play through. After Skyhold such enemies become fodder for Elemental Mines.
Hey thanks :) i honestly don't like any warrior companion so Im considering playing warrior myself, buuut artificer looks like more fun.....and much more damage XD
Still think the archer is where it's at...I love mage and story line I enjoy being the promised savior of mages
Archer, with the artificer specialization, is my favourite way to play the game. I even have a clip of this exact fight as an artificer. Being a mage just feels right to me, even when I enjoy playing other classes more.
@@zavtra13 yeah I just finished origins and 2 again starting inq again as a refresher for the new dragon age coming out...I think artificer is what ill try actually never done that or blood mage
C a n you either show or put down what build you did as far as attacks and specialization you chose? I want to do an archer but never know where to start.
The artificer archer is by far my favourite build in DA:I, it is basically perfect for the way I like the play the game. The key abilities for my artificer archers are Leaping Shot (either upgrade is fine, I like Shot from the Shadows), Throwing Blades + Precision Targeting, Elemental Mines + Throw Everything, and Explosive Shot (which is on the way to an important passive) is useful as well. There are 3 must have passives; Opportunity Knocks from the artificer tree, Looks Like it Hurt from the sabotage tree, and Pincushion from the archery tree. The first two work together essentially remove cool downs and keep your stamina full, and the latter boosts your damage significantly. I don’t use focus abilities myself, but if you do, the artificer’s ability is ridiculously OP. There are a few good secondary abilities well worth having. One is Hook and Tackle + It Beats Walking, the artificer fights best at close range, so this one is a big help. Next is the entire left side of the sabotage tree. Poisoned Weapons + Leeching poisons helps with healing, and Toxic Cloud + Lost in the Mist are huge boosts to survivability. As for gear, use whatever your best rogue armour schematic is, I’m using prowler armour in my videos. You’ll want as many utility leather slots as possible, and those slots should get materials that raise dexterity or both dexterity and cunning, depending on your need for extra crit chance from cunning. I usually put the Sigil of the Great Bear in the armour because the extra stamina it grants adds a lot of extra mines from elemental mines with the throw everything upgrade, and the stamina regen penalty simply doesn’t matter to an artificer. The bow I use is a crafted Elgar’nan Enaste with everite in the offensive metal slot, great bear hide in the offensive leather slot, and snowfleur skin in the utility leather slot. I like that bow both for the slots it has and it’s unique properties. In its base form its regular attacks hit twice, with a lightning or frost rune they hit 6 times. Any high damage bow schematic with offensive metal and leather slots is great however, and will work very well for you. In masterwork slots I always go with guard on hit, everyone gets one of those, and outside of that it is a bit of a free for all. If you have a good offensive fade touched material (chance of; immolate, chain lightning, or hidden blades on hit) they are great, but I like chance of walking fortress on hit as well. Accessories are a good place to add even more crit chance and crit damage, ring of Slicing is good, any crit chance, crit damage, or attack boosting item is great. If you side with the Templars the amulet you can loot off of Fiona’s corpse is amazing, otherwise Malika’s Guard is the best option.
@@zavtra13 thank you so much. I've only ever played a mage but have wanted to be an archer for a while now. This helps a lot. Thank-you again
@@zacpittman5165 glad to help, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
I wanted to be a mage to romance Cullen (even though I find it boring and love rogued) but after this, I've decided the poor man needs a rest. Let's have him love a non-mage to save himself the stess lol
I’m glad you liked it, and I’d expect that Cullen is grateful. I hope you enjoy the play though!
Bro I have being playing this for I don't know long I have been playing always warrior but I got bored because it's really boring and I can't decide who is better mage or rogue cause I saw your reddit

Standing around, hopefully being vaguely distracting to the frost giant. Guardian Spirit came in handy for my mages when he failed at doing his job.

And here I was playing as a tank/warrior for my team hahaha this seems way more fun rather than taking a crapload of beating from dragons
Tanking can be fun too, though I definitely prefer being the party’s primary DPS.
It's really fun to play as Artificer, archer or no. Good job on the Dragon!
Thanks! Artificer archer is my favourite way to play DA:I, but I’ve never tried to dual wield as an artificer.
@@zavtra13 REALLY? Dual Artificer is my favorite! The only downside is the focus, the rest is all glory. Throwing Blades + Deathblow kills almost anything, if properly used. Specially if you have Deepstalker Sigil on Armor and is Flanking. Totally OVERKILL!
@@RushRun interesting, I don’t use focus abilities anyways, so that wouldn’t be much of a loss for me. I may have to give that a try!
