Forstner bit would have done wonders to sink those rings. Over all a nice DIY though
I wonder if sanding the parts before assembly would have made it a tad easier?
All this slow motion talk like we’re retarded but never showed how he connected the brackets.
Nice work. Thanks for sharing this. The music is annoying!
Nice build. Thanks for sharing.. for those that don’t have a pocket hole setup-stack (2) 1x4s to achieve the same thickness as a 2x4. Splices are strong like this as well.
Congratulations on fixing it. I just completed a new arcade machine build to replace my first unit, I feel you when you say plans are adjusted on the fly - thats how all my projects go, I am just now gathering parts for my pinball machine and it will take a while before I start. I am building mine out of particle board. Can't wait to see what you build next.
Congratulations on completing your project. It's a ton of work to make a pinball or arcade from scratch. It turned out nice. Thanks for showing your process as well as leaving in the mistakes and changes. It helps others realize things they need to consider. I just found and watched all your videos today and enjoyed it.
So great to see your son helping out. It was always a joy when my sons were young to teach them and work with them on whatever projects needing doing around the house. Later they found it to be work but early on they had fun doing stuff with dad.
Can't watch with the sappy music
I find that a scrap board in the area where the blade doesn’t cut will allow both needed boards to be cut through.
Great video except for the annoying music. Learned a lot,
It's a good project. But not everyone has those Erickson brackets. Should be easy to modify for the built-in slots. Nice use of the miter to make your dado. And good to see a belt Sander in use!😊 FYI, you get a better coat of lines if you prime the wood 1st as the dry sucks up all the moisture. White latex works well.
Gteat Thx Helps alot Good Explanation
You could’ve also used a hole saw for the pull rings.
Yes, definitely
Great video. What if the wood gets wet and swells? Does it bend or dent the side of your truck?
Has not been an issue with the bedliner spray
Very well done and love the clear parts and tool list!
You failed to mention the need to order the mounting plates for Erickson brackets, and the need to drill holes in the truck to mount said plates!
I did not need to order them, they were already installed in my truck from the factory
@@daddingforidiots7993 I agree with him and was looking to see if someone else said this. Looking for the bracket mounts now to install
My 95 S-10 bedliner didn't have pockets, for boards. I just made a 2x4 frame that straddled the rear tire bump outs. Held together with screws and flat right angle brackets. Gave me 3 different places for loads. About $20 for everything.
A+ for design and function. F for eye protection
Nice easy project for a noob like me! Thanks.
You are driving me crazy without a Square.
Pretty neat. I saw this for my Maverick altho I think $500 is a bit much for 1 sheet of plywood so I intend to build my own altho mine wont be so finished as the $500 one is. Rough is my trademark. th-cam.com/video/nzabGAK4KFQ/w-d-xo.html !
You do realize the 4 lines in the truck bed wall is for a bed divider, right, LOL!
Yes
Kill the music
Not sure why one wouldn’t just go get a 2x12 x8 and cut it to fit in those handy factory slots and be done with it if you want a taller one add a 2x 8 on top of that one it’s never failed me
Because I wanted to do it this way…
@@daddingforidiots7993 fair enough brother
How big is your playfiled? Is it 48"? -Edit- Nevermind, I just saw it is a 43".
Would have used glue and a hole saw for the brackets.
I have to give this a thumbs up from the title alone.
Looks great. I'm about to make this today. I see that the bottom horizontal part doesn't touch the sides of the box and papers to hover slightly above the bed. Does the whole unit move around much?
Hey - great work - where did you buy your buttons?
Almost all of my buttons are from here: www.ultimarc.com/arcade/buttons/
Nice looking project. The flush ring pulls are slick, but I'd probably cheap out by mounting 2X or 3X as many eye-bolts to the same face, or screwing a piece of pipe or tubing to the face (with a spacer) for infinite mounting points. Structurally, I'd be concerned using that design to contain heavier sliding objects because, without trapping the base of the divider from fore/aft movement, the force of impact will potentially pivot the divider around the axis of that upper 2X4 in its relatively narrow wood beam socket, potentially dismantling the whole thing by shearing the upper Kreg joints. Again, that's only a concern for heavy objects that are prone to sliding. That risk could be abated with a U- or angle brkt mounted to the bed at the lower corners, but then you'd probably end up stubbing your toes or cutting your bare feet on them. (Life is hard.)
Magna Save in a pinball table is a magnet right at the bottom of the playfield that keeps the ball from draining down the middle. You only get a couple of these "saves" or can posibly earn more by doing special combos.
Where did you buy your Buttons?
There are a number of arcade/pinball cabinet websites that offer these. His buttons look like Electric Ice style but I'm not 100% sure on that.
I got most of my buttons here: www.ultimarc.com/arcade/buttons/
Where did you find the brackets?? Do you have a link?
a.co/d/89jUFQ3
I just cut a 2x6 to size and it works.
Where did the brackets cone from? Thx
How did u mount to the side of the bed???
My truck came with the mounts already installed
Where did you get that two-by-four bracket for the back of your truck thank you

Hi when are going release software installation please
Hopefully soon. I will go over what software I use, and how it all works together, not the installation though.
Love seeing a kiddo interacting.
👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻😁
Hey still workin on build. If I’m doing bare bones build with just flippers and start and 3-4 other buttons without leds do I need that ultimate controller board or can I use that mini pac with harness? Do I have to assign each wire or will they be assigned with diagram as to which button they go to? Also what’s my move after that? Will they automatically work with the boards I download? If you can help any I would appreciate. Not too computer savvy lol
Must haves for sure!
Nice build. I’ve learned some from your mistakes lol. I’m gonna start mine this weekend. I may have missed it in this series as some of it I’ve been watching without audio, but did you have to take the housing off any of the monitors?
Haha, thanks. No I didn’t have to take the casings off, I worked around them
Hey!!! That's some good looking chairs....sale thém...smh😅
Oz for the win.
Excelente job and soundtrack Zz Top lets rock !
you need to do more videos and longer videos to
I agree…I have been remodeling our house for the past 3+ months so I haven’t had a ton of time to shoot, edit, and release videos. Hoping to get back to it soon
Love this Virtual Pinball series - just cannot believe you used no glue at all - only screws. But hey it worked! Nice job.
i found out that the hardest part is not to create the cab but to sync all buttons led and 3 screens with the program
Absolutely…the cab was the easy part. The software and buttons were frustrating. That’s why it’s taking me so long to make a video about all of it, I’m not really sure where to start and how to lay it out for people to understand
