Using SUPER GLUE to Fix Fret Buzz?? | Steps to Take Before a Level and Crown
Reseating guitar frets is crucial for maintaining optimal playability and sound quality. Over time, frets can become loose or uneven, leading to buzzing, intonation issues, and uncomfortable play. In this video, I’ll show you how to properly reseat frets to keep your guitar playing and sounding its best.
Why shouldn't you level frets that aren't properly seated? If frets are loose or not seated correctly, leveling them can lead to uneven fret height and reduced fret life. It masks the root problem instead of fixing it, causing more issues down the line, like fret buzz and compromised intonation. Properly reseating the frets first ensures a stable foundation for leveling, resulting in smoother playability and longer-lasting fretwork. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced guitarist, these tips will help you maintain your instrument and enhance your playing experience.

Why Do We Crown The Frets?
มุมมอง 12021 วันที่ผ่านมา
Why Guitar Frets Are Crowned After Leveling Guitar frets are crowned after leveling to restore their shape, enhance playability, improve intonation, and ensure consistent tone across the fretboard. Here’s a detailed explanation of the process and its importance: 1. Understanding Fret Leveling Fret leveling is the process of ensuring that all frets on the guitar are at the same height. Over time...

Uhhmmm..... 😮
Super noice 😊
I didn’t know that was possible . Incredible skill
30 bucks, but all the tools needed for it are 100+ 😅😅
Gibson fret nibs.. stupid.
Radius sand station? Sanding Vice? How have I never seen these things before !??🤯🤯
Really enjoying your videos, love all the stratocasters and telecasters. And was that a paint mustang I saw you had? That is so rad I'm trying to learn more about taking care of my guitar and doing all this work myself. I got the wiring down but your videos are really helpful with fret work. Appreciate the hard work you do and showing us how it's done
🤘🏼😎
dna love the technique of wicking the super glue with razor blade. such a clever move
00:01:08 THANKS
Red stripe!!
So many times I've come across this. 70 years and Fender can't install the frets all the way.
Is that a plastic tool you're using to check level?
I want so much to get into that field.
Linus tech tips did a video on RF blocking paint. Even when applied super thick it does not work
The fret on the left, in the opening shot, looks as flat as a pancake!
Some of these frets had pretty flat tops, which I would normally crown! In this case, the client was happy with them how they were and did not want them touched
I've always wondered about this. You're the first channel that addressed it. 👍
I worked on designing RFI shielding for military avionics. I imagine this kinda works for lower frequencies... but your single coils pickups are literally very efficient loop antennas.
just put everything back and don't touch it...
I literally have been looking for this paint. Thank you so much
Prove it
Google it
@@dinamoarg I saw it on the Internet so it must be true
@@Odyss-d2p I really don't get if you're being sarcastic or not. There are thousands of videos and tons of information about shielding benefits in single coil guitars and basses primarily. There's no need for her to prove it, you just have to search and make your own decisions. What you read on the internet is not inherently true but surely you'll be able to tell the difference.
@@Odyss-d2p It's true' My band was playing in a bar one night' the police called for back'up on their radio.... the call came through' it could be heard through our PA system.... told the location... over half the people at the bar got stopped and we're arrested for DUI that night within 1/2 a mile from the bar.
YES! thanks for making a longer video
Noiseless = lifeless.. but tbf, I haven’t messed with the newer gens
Nice job. Sounds good as well.
These vids are soooo helpfull!
With this method, the taper of the volume pot can change. I prefer the cap and resistor in series! 🎸🤘🏼🎸
Okay I didn't even get to the part where you had a pink finish guitar with that beautiful guard. Hahaha Love the color scheme on that strat. Rock on
I love your pick guard. It's the exact same finish pickguard I had on my first guitar Infinity Stratocaster It had a black red burst finish that I like to call blood burst. But I can tell by your pick guard that you're awesome.
Not my specific trade but that soldering looked amazing. Also going for the long run fix, speaks volumes about your service. Rather than milk the client for money having them send it in for every single wire replacement one at a time, you fixed it all in one go without being asked or charging. Keep doin you, it's only a matter of time before your stuff hits the algorithm if every video is up to this level of quality.
Awesome
Love these vids
Soul der😂😂😂😂 im dead
Brilliant 👍
love the treble bleed mods. Funnily enough treble bleed is what happens with a stock pot, with the mod meant to counter it. But us guitarists have never cared much for accurate terms anyways lol
this is so cool
Dude I thought you were talking about a guitar.
first 0.2 seconds i thought she was pulling out something in her skin.
This is amazing. Gonna have to look around for someone who can help me with this. Cheers and keep up the good work! Subscription earned.
This is a Mustang, I accidentally said Jaguar🤦🏽♀️
Weird, thats a Mustang control plate. I'm not saying it's not a jaguar, I'm just noticing Fender is cheaping out lately. And a Strat tailpiece?
@Rjhorning no, you're right about it being a mustang. I worked on my jaguar recently an said the wrong thing🤦🏽♀️ I didn't notice until after postinf
Kewl
Dang, my soldier joints never look that pretty.. Good work!
Peterson makes the best of the best headstock tuner.
Dude I’ve played and rewired guitars for years and genuinely never heard of this. Definitely wanna give it a crack though. Thanks g, love your videos
Good vid. 👍🏼
Cool bass, I have one like it but the bridge has a weird rickenbacker guitar style bridge (but made for it) that goes on the posts. I love that I can slide it around to intonate it but its a blessing and a curse.
I enjoyed this video very much. It would be helpful to have some spoken commentary while you’re working - what problems you encounter, how you deal with them, etc. BTW, what is that big block you are using to polish the frets? Looking forward to more content!
Big congrats! Also those tuners look sexyyy
nice video. I'd like to see longer video just like the ones that Tanya Shpachuk does--> www.youtube.com/@TanyaShpachuk
Thanks ! Now we will never get any work again :)
