The only tool I have that isn’t Milwaukee is my multitool because blade swapping is way faster and I like the handle design
My wife got this for me last christmas..... my favorite tool by far. No more air compressor nonsense!
Table has the cutest little bow ties.
Good stream work
Hopefully going to start on a shop 32x40 this fall, curious how tall your ceiling are. Been thinking of 10 feet. Not sure why you would need anything taller for woodworking and easier to heat in here in CO @ 7,000 ft. Nice videos - thanks
Thanks a ton for watching and taking the time to comment! These shop ceilings are pretty low but it all works great for my needs. My last shop that I rented had 12' ceilings and exactly like you mentioned it was always a struggle to control temperature, especially in the winter. This shop is the lowest level of the commercial property we own. The bottom sides of the beams are only 8' from the floor making the ceiling just about 9'. I heat the whole space with a mid size natural gas heater made by Reznor, it works great! I think your totally on the right path! So awesome to have a new shop in the works! Congrats and good luck with the project!
I have a 718 and 725 planer molders from WM they are awesome, solid and everything he said! Customer service is the best. You feel like old school service, like walking into a hardware store long ago and talking to a knowledgeable seasoned person.
Awesome! Thanks so much for taking the time to watch and comment!
Nice review. Many of your points both good and not that good are the same points I have for my 25” Woodmaster Planer that converts to a drum sander. Works great but don’t expect to take off any significant amount of material. Oh, and take it for what it’s worth but your C-Stand in the background is set up incorrectly. The way you have it in the video will loosen the arm with weight on it rather than tightening it. Take if from a 35 year professional in the grip business
nice
GREAT CONTENT 🎉
Thanks for sharing your design. I am currently shopping for a handyman's tool vest, but have not yet found exactly what I have in mind. I might have to make my own, so I am interested in your tools and techniques. I will watch for future videos.
Really like just the natural with no white. Both great looks!
Both are totally awesome! I have found that depending on the setting, either one makes for the right choice! The white looks lovely with a more modern brighter home, the natural looks great with more neutral tones and warmer colors! Thanks for watching and commenting!
I love that the wood's 100 yrs old but what's different about it compared to new wood after it's been sanded down?
All the old distressing and saw marks on the front are what most of my clients are after. Also the grain that is visible at either end is very tight and close together showing how old it's age is. This piece also carries a sentimental value in the facts that it had always been used in an old building constructed in 1920 then dismantled instead of packed into dump trucks and hauled off to the landfill. New lumber is regularly now cut from small young trees, it doesn't carry the strength or the story that some of these cool old pieces still represent even after 100 years after being milled!
yo, is this Jinxy
It's the "without me" Eminem instrumental!
it sounds like his intro is on beat to the music
Haha thank you! It was unintentional but I felt like it somehow matched up well! Thanks for watching and commenting!
That’s nice well thought out, what did spend on steel priced some recently for a couple small projects and about fell over
Thank you! It's tough to say as it's been a few years since I fabricated it, however on other projects I've worked on recently, mild steel cost (at least here in Oregon) haven't been that bad. I would assume the steel for this now would cost around $400-500.
@@schoonercreekdesigns I think you’d be surprised, live across river in Washington and every time I think I’m going to do a steel project I back out price has not dropped,20 ft stick 063 3/4 over 40 bucks
@@SteveAdlard ahh yeah everything is expensive that's for sure!
Music is way too high and pretty annoying
You seem fun
This is underrated asf. Beautiful
Thanks so much! Works great and has leveled a ton of slabs! Thanks for watching my friend!
Beautiful work man!! I love all of the various ways that wood can be finished. But I think that the lighter finish in this instance, makes more of a statement.
Thank you so much! Sometimes it best to let the wood do the talking!
Those are freaking cool!!
Gorgeous work man!! That's some mesmerizing craftsmanship. What kind of wood is that?? I love the grain patterns!!
It's a piece of super old Redwood Burl! It was a really beautiful piece! Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment!
Genius way to do it man. I need a bigger shop, so I can make one of those. I don't work with slabs very often, but when I do, this would be so much easier.
Shop space is ALWAYS the battle! This concept for leveling also works great with wonky lumber in general! I've leveled several thicker pieces of dimensional lumber with twists or cupping on one side before sending it through the planer if it's too wide to fit in my joiner! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!
That’s super sick I love it man. Making some beautiful slabs
I want to make some improvements to the leveler but it works pretty dang good! Saves So much time from the way I used to level slabs! Thanks for watching and commenting!
What grit did u sand it too?
This piece was sanded to 500 grit before finishing!
Looks incredible
I would like to sand corian, do you think it works?
very good !!!! Can you use sandpaper too???
I made the jump recently too. Mostly because their nail guys are so much better. The one tool I have been disappointed with is the oscillating tool. The blade changes on the dewalt are a lot better.
Do you own the milwaukee framing nailer?
Yes! I just got it and I'm blown away by how well it works! Just framed a 10 x 16 shed in our back yard with it and I'm absolutely in love with it!
@schoonercreekdesigns what battery did you use ? I have one too and the only problem I had with it is when I was decking the roof alot of nails would go in, it happen so much that I had to use the aire gun insted but as far as framing 2 bys with it didn't had a problem with it
Sad ya cut it
Due to an ice storm we had this last winter the tree was in pretty rough shape and endangering the two houses closest to it. It's never the desire to cut down a large tree like this but I'm grateful to persevere its beauty and save it from the firewood pile. This will be turned into a wide variety of useful material
Beautiful wood beautiful view love the northwest my wife and I drive down to depo Bay quite a bit
So lucky to live in this beautiful place! Thank for taking the time to watch and comment!
I'm about to help my sister on a Hickory counter top and your video has me really psyched to get going!! Great job!!!
That's so awesome! Good luck on the project! It's a really fun one. Thanks so much for taking the time to watch and comment!
Where do you get the instant adhesive?
Instant adhesive like "fast stick" or "2P10" are available at most hardware stores or online!
What kind of wood and finish is that?
This is awesome!
What a stupid short!
Haha what a stupid comment!
A meth song 😂
Haha and such a dang good song!
If you're still using this nailer I suspect you've already discovered what I am about to say: Go back and do your test with the nailer in multi-shot mode, but keep your finger on the trigger when doing it. Your release of the trigger is letting the pump wind down. Pull the trigger, let it wind up, then get to doing the old bump... and uh... nail. There is no delay between shots then, and you shouldn't get any imperfect penetrations where the nail head sits a little proud. You'll reach a point, after a certain number of nails, where the nailer will need to "rest" but by then, you've probably done an entire strip of door trim on one side. Talking about the toe nailing issue, yeah, I've experienced that. When I need to toe nail piece, I use the 20 degree Dewalt nailer if I have to do toe nailed pins.
Great video, super useful. How do you blend in the joint in the beam above the post so its invisible? We have 15' spans on our ceiling- we want to do this, while avoiding having to buy the super long expensive dimensional lumber. Thanks again for the great video. Looks amazing.
Thank you for watching! Thankfully having the vertical seams where the but joints are on this above each post makes sense as far as how it would be for, however if your trying to blend long pieces of wood you might want to try scarf joining them before cutting the miters to assemble your box beams. This would allow you to get to the length you're looking for! I hope this answers your question!
I personally think you made a good choice buying it
I have it I personally think it’s the best skill saw I’ve ever owned
Great song
I love those stools on the blue planket.
I bought a used 3875 a couple months ago and had to refurbish it. I called Woodmaster and they ran the serial number, it came back as a 1993 unit. They still had parts in stock for that old model and I got them within a week. they even emailed me a copy of the exploded view and parts list for my machine for future needs. FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!
They have been great to work with!
You shouldn’t have an opinion about a tool based on the way it looks. Use the damn thing and find out if it’s worth using.
Preach brother
I have it love it
What do you use to seal white oak without changing it’s natural color?
This was finished with Odie's oil "super duper everlasting" oil with a white pigment. The white pigment doesn't do anything other than keep white oak looking really white! I have a finishing demonstration video in the channel that shows the exact process! Thanks for watching!
❤
Beautiful 🤩
Looking Awesome!! 😎
Return it asap
Great video. Can you do the same finish with red oak?
Nice work but I think a circle inlay regardless of the grain would have looked a lot nicer in the end due to the placement of the knot and rings u got on the face there.
