Completely disagree with this. The 13th doctor's subtle music was the best it has been in years, and was better than what came after. And her theme was so hopeful, mysterious and emblematic of her character

It's very funny because I was in forums with oldheads when NuWho first came out and they despised Gold because he was seen as sentimental, mamipulative and not in keeping with the show's "weirder" musical history. It's funny how fandoms change over time - akinola feels far closer to the tradition of the classic series

Oh now I get it. Yes I missed Murray gold, so glad he's back

While I disagree that The Thirteenth Doctor's theme isn't "iconic", I do really love how you worded the magic that Gold's scores bring to each Doctor he composed for. I believe 13's theme encapsulates her Doctor quite well now that we've had three series to really understand her. It took perhaps far too long for us, the audience, to grasp her Doctor whereas her predecessors and even Ncuti so far won us over within the first episode (or two at worst). Akinola was severely underrated. He created scores and themes that are just as memorable as Gold's. The only criticism I truly had were the lack of companion themes which goes hand in hand with your point of the lack of emphasis/importance of the companions in 13's era.
