It's a nice new addition to fashion island. My wife and I visited this past weekend and we almost lost ourselves in the fact that it was a furniture store. There were moments where I was questioning if what I was even looking at was for sale or if it was decoration/design? Anyway, we went to the 4th floor for a drink and a nice view and overall, I'd see myself buying a few items here for our next home. Didn't have a chance to see the menu for the restaurant but it looked nice.

We definitely need to adopt a more mindful approach when it comes to consumption of anything. Especially when society has made it so easy when it comes to purchasing goods.

I admit I do enjoy the organized look and do a lot of it. What I DON'T like is the non-standardized sizing for the items. Why does anyone make a juice container that contains 1.4 of the standardized juice volumes?? Annoying.

I agree with all of your points EXCEPT hanging curtains close the ceiling. I known this goes against the current propaganda but, when the rods are close to the ceiling, it is impossible for anyone under 6'7" to actually reach the rod in a standard height room so they can adjust the curtain placement - EVEN WITH rings and slider tape! Besides, the space between the top of the window and the ceiling is UNATTRACTIVE when it's broken up with the window frame, the wall, the rod, more wall above the rod, mouldings if any, then finally the ceiling. As if it isn't already impractical/ugly for the reasons stated above, when curtains extend to the floor, they collect dust and debris from the floors, especially if you have pets. It's a HUGE chore to have to vacuum your curtains regularly and an even bigger chore to take your curtains down, launder or dry clean them, then hanging them again. Additionally, you are breaking up the visual space even further with the wall area framed by the part of the curtains that extends below the window. I don't buy the idea that long curtains "elevate" a room. I buy the idea that curtains are intended to screen the view and should not present a challenge to operate and keep clean. I'm looking forward to a return to the sanity of curtains that cover the window, are easy for the average person to operate and don't require heroic efforts to keep clean.

The main reason is WE ARE HUMAN AND LIVE IN OUR HOUSES. THEIR not showrooms or museums. You would be too eoried to do anything in them because then it has to be cleaned AGAIN.

Exactly the content I needed to hear after waking up at 4:30am and couldn’t go back to sleep thinking of all the remodeling and decorating that needs done. You are so right, at one point this was my dream home so I need to embrace what is already done. Plastic plants have look-cheap in their DNA. Other than that good video.

Social media has created this re-containering culture. I do use glass cannisters for sugar, flour, and rice because the huge bags that they come in are unweildy for daily use. 😊
