Reducing Mortality in a Future with Extreme Heat: Part I
During the 2024 American Geophysical Union Conference, SilverLining and NYU Grossman School of Medicine, held "Reducing Mortality in a Future with Extreme Heat," at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco in Washington, DC.
This opening panel conversation spanned the major gaps in information on heat mortality data, from the patient level to global interventions and humanitarian needs. The panel video also features an introduction to the extreme heat and near-term climate risk by Kelly Wanser, Executive Director of SilverLining.

Moderated by Jeff Goodell, New York Times bestselling author of The Heat Will Kill You First and How to Cool the Planet, this groundbreaking dialogue brought together public health and humanitarian experts on extreme heat mortality with world experts on research and governance of climate intervention in a discussion on climate intervention in the context of rising mortality from extreme heat, and what society might need to consider.

So many Gurus’s in the kitchen. Please truly attack the gross polluters of mega scale first and then present solutions and do not inject aerosols into the clouds, it won’t go right.
