So this is the mixture screw adjustment? Thanks for the vid. Much appreciated
@@michaelnugara1 yes sir...well hidden huh?
It worked to my surprise. Im only getting 9.5 volts while running at the battery. Any suggestions battery looks brand new has a 1.5 year date.
@@fastalk voltage regulator either bad or lost 12v source to the voltage regulator.
Thanks. Will try it out. Do you have to replace the welch plug after adjusting the low jet screw?
@@dpm1964 not at all
Thanks for the video!!
I should’ve watched your video prior to breaking locking tabs on fuel bulb primer. Any suggestions as to where to order replacement part for my Husqvarna 525L? Please advise. Thank you in advance for your assistance and stay the course. ✌🏼
Thanks. That helped a lot
Thank you!
Thanks for a nice video. I was trying to figure out how to disconnect the throttle linkage without breaking it. I was on the right track but I wanted to see how someone else removed the link.
@kenlowrey5612 yeah, no fun when they break
Where can I buy those plugs please
Great job of showing everything you were doing
Ok, perfect take down with great info and love the humor. For that exact Mikuni carb, where do we find a replacement needle or overhaul kit for this carb? I dare not attempt the part number for this carb but its something close to Jxx-14101-0x with the vent tube. I know the Mikuni is good so if i can just find the kit or needle, what do you suggest for tracking these parts down?
do all the gravely pro turn mower have the same bearing size I would like to order the bearing before I take it apart it's a pro turn 52 commercial model 991208
@@6gatornation I believe the gravely pro master series uses larger bearings than the residential series. The mower here is a gravely/ariens residential mower
@@christophercorbett7307 ok thank you
Nope. I replaced every single thing in my fuel system, new hose, new rollover vent, new gas, new filter, new carburetor, new intake, manifold, gaskets, new carburetor, gaskets checked for cracks. It does exact same thing hasn’t changed a bit.
@@DisgustedGenXr did you do this adjustment on your new carburetor?
You do not have to remove the black plastic piece. Just rotate choke plate towards you and the link can slide right out. Also there is a slot for the kill wire almost directly behind the choke lever. Snap it in or it can wiggle loose from its mounting position.
@@jjcc2192 cool man thank you for the tips!!
Hi thanks for the video is this one turn out low and two and 1/4 for the high apply for all sizes chainsaws .? Thank you
@@guadalupemagna4227 pretty much
@@christophercorbett7307 thank you
Great advice. Thank you
Very good job. Saved me from taking it to the shop. I’m going to buy some gas in the can tomorrow! Haha. Just a note…you can take the choke linkage loose if you twist silver choke up. It matches and will slip out. I did use needle nose for a light push, but works! Check it.
@carrotcake1955 thanks for the tip!!
Thanks
@@danieldextre56 absolutely man!!
excellent video, thanks!
@Ericbumperpunch thank you so much my friend!!!
I've watched six or eight of these videos on this subject and your's is by far the best of them. My parts are on order and my fingers are crossed. Thanks for the instruction.
@roberthumphreys1316 absolutely man!!! If you have any issues/questions please feel free to hit me up
I was thinking of putting a kit in the carb I took off, but only if you do a video on it. I don't trust anybody else. I am going to try to replace the carb and lines on an old Poulan Wild Thing 2375, hope to get enough help from youtube videos.
@Larry-d3i I may have one in the pile. If I do ill do a carb swap on it. Just make sure you make hole in tank bigger so you can run the bigger fuel line.
@@christophercorbett7307 I'm not knocking these other guys doing videos. But what novices like me need is a step by step how to guide like you posted. It's obvious most of them are trying to figure it out as they go. I tried to get ahead of you once in this video, it didn't work and I had to backtrack. I saw a good tip on Amazon on the Chinese carbs. I used a dremel to cut a slot in the needles so they cut be adjusted with a screwdriver. There was no limiter on the one I got. It's doing just fine.
@Larry-d3i yes sir. They make you have to use these odd ball tools to adjust them. Can never go wrong with a good ol flat head!!
@@christophercorbett7307 I bought a Chinese knock off a few years ago called an X Bull. It's cheap junk, but has some good qualities too. That sucker cold cranks on the first pull real easy with a spring loaded wind up starter and runs strong and smooth. Chain oil leaks, to get to the purge lines you have to take the thing aparr, chain brake won't stay off, choke won'tstay pulled out, but it is a 62cc 18 inch bar and it has never failed me. $130 Vs about 400 for a husky.
@@Larry-d3i I'd like to check it out
Thank you for this informative video. I did as you described and it cleared up the idle surge problem on my Kawasaki FR691V. Is it necessary to recover the adjustment screw access after making the adjustment? Thanks again.
@JamesSuitt-q3z no sir it's not necessary at all. Literally the only reason they put it there is so you can't find the adjustment
Hey man! Did you have to knock. Black plastic piece out to get to the adjustment screw?
@@Axel-tk3tk no sir, just the cap
Been a marine/small engine and millwright for over 30 years one of the best small engine videos I have watched. Very good job!
@trevornaas9676 thank you so much my man!!! If I could have all that experience of yours now I'd be good to go
Great video, just what I needed, even though its late in the season I'm tired of pulling the plug & priming through the cylinder lol.
I had a hard time getting the the gland nut off, went to a local farm repair shop and paid them € 20,- to do the job ( for all 3 ) . They had a much better torch and a much better spanner wrench to do the job then I did. The rest is a diy job.
Is the o ring on the carburetor is it a SAE or metric cause my didn't come with one and the used one I got from e bay didn't come with one also
@Philjr-h7j I don't but it doesn't have to be perfect. Just a snug fit, if you have to use one bigger that's fine
Where did you buy your kits?
This is the best repair video I've seen in a while. Very well explained.
@RT668 man ill take that any day thank you
How can I set the carb back to stock settings. I just replaced one and I got it all jacked up . I just need to know how to get it back to a good starting point

Greatly appreciated, thanks!
Thanks for the knowledge. God bless you
I have a problem with mine just starting and gose off in a while
@@ngwamartin8687 yes sir I understand. That sounds like one you could simply fix by adjust the carb. Turn up the idle screw until chain begins to spin. Then slowly turn out the L screw (one closest to engine) until rpms drop enough for chain to stop spinning.
What blue fuel do you recommend? I use Trump Fuel from Ace is that good?
@@pelayoasturias6650 I use VP can gas
What is the little black plastic piece on the right side? I broke it off mine and now it’s surging, don’t know if it’s related.

This is a great video. The pouring out of gas and replacing with fresh fuel was perfect advice. I did pick up a new carb etc… on Amazon for around $20 just in case and will just save it. Great step by step video!
@@elong35 thank you buddy!!
If you’re looking for a vacuum leak, spray bottle with water. Water gets sucked in, runs bad. Easy.
Wish I had seen this before a local repair shop soaked me. They replaced the carb and after a few hours the same problem recurred. Thanks for posting this video.

Adjusted high out half turn, but still not wanting to idle and bogs down when squeezing throttle. There were 2 gaskets that came with carb, but the rubber on the intake still looked good. Is there a standard generic starting position for adjusting screws?
