REM teaser trailer
Please enjoy the teaser trailer for REM - my upcoming directorial debut. Coming soon in 2024.
REM, explores the story of a sufferer of REM sleep disorder - a rare condition that forces its subject to act out violent and distressing dreams.
This short film delves into David's emotional deterioration caused by chronic nightmares that bleed into his reality. Unsure of where his consciousness begins and his dreams end David fights to keep one foot in the real world and hold onto the one constant he has in his distorted life - his girlfriend, Sam.
Meanwhile, Sam struggles to pursue her ambitious new career while dealing with an unstable partner on the brink of collapse.
This is a story about love and loneliness and what mental health can look like for young men in the 21st century. This psychological thriller will have you on the edge of your seat and keep you hoping that love will prevail over all else - even the nightmares of your subconscious.

Bunny - By Jack Thorne
มุมมอง 11K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Hello Guys! Long time no post! Anyway this monologue is from the play Bunny by Jack Thorne, which is a one woman play and based around this young girl who is having to adjust to a lot of different changes and just feels generally very lost. I enjoyed this piece because it takes you on a proper journey however it is quite popular so am not sure if I would advise doing it for drama school auditio...
Immaculate - By Oliver Lansley
มุมมอง 7K3 ปีที่แล้ว
I found a comedic monologue! Well I suppose that varies on opinion but I hope this will make you chuckle all the same. Also very sorry there is not intro however I learnt this for another project and then realised that I couldn't be bothered to set up again, anyway... This monologue is from the play Immaculate by Oliver Lansley which is a hilarious take on the virgin birth story. Please, please...
Two Gentlemen of Verona - Julia's Monologue
มุมมอง 10K3 ปีที่แล้ว
This monologue is from the play Two Gentlemen of Verona and I'm playing the character of Julia, Act 4 Scene 4. The opening line is "How many women would do such a message?". This is a beautiful monologue that has a lot of understated emotion throughout. Some of the key themes are: love, betrayal, hatred, duty and sacrifice. I really hope you enjoy it but remember if you're going to do it for dr...
Bull by Mike Bartlett
มุมมอง 15K4 ปีที่แล้ว
This monologue is from the character Isabel from the play Bull by Mike Bartlett. This play doesn't have an interval or very clear scene switches but it is towards the end and the character Isabel actually has another monologue in this play as well, so if you were looking for a play with a lot of options I would defiantly give this a read. This play is so cut throat and really interesting! I had...
Bitch Face - Original Piece by Nansi Love
มุมมอง 2.4K4 ปีที่แล้ว
This is an original piece that I recently wrote and performed on the platform NYT Mixtape. The spoken word was inspired by watching an interview where an actress was criticised for having a "resting bitch face". It obviously did not go over so well for me. Please forgive any stutters or mistakes as this was just a recorded rehearsal but thought I should post it as I've had a few requests for it...
Boys by Ella Hickson
มุมมอง 26K4 ปีที่แล้ว
This is from the play Boys by Ella Hickson, in which I am playing Sophie. This monologue explores themes of grief, lust, morality and relationships. It can be a very powerful piece but I think it can also be too easy to fall into performing it all mopey and sad due to the grief aspects. So I would recommend trying to find something new within it and challenge yourself by exploring new levels. T...
SNOWFLAKE - By Mike Bartlett Monologue
มุมมอง 32K4 ปีที่แล้ว
This is the monologue from the Play Snowflake by Mike Bartlett, where I am playing the character of Maya. It can be found on page 71. Maya is described as 21 years old. This is the link to purchase the play: www.amazon.co.uk/Snowflake-Modern-Plays-Mike-Bartlett/dp/1848428170 DISCLAIMER: I am in no way advertising for Amazon or supporting buying from them in anyway as they're a shitty company. Taking care of Baby by Dennis Kelly - Donna's monologue

This monologue is fiction however if any of these issues are affecting you you can call the Samaritans Helpline by dealing :116 123. People, places & things by Duncan Macmillan
มุมมอง 19K4 ปีที่แล้ว
This monologue is from the play People, Places & Things by Duncan Macmillan. Can be found page 88. Great play has at least two other contemporary monologues in it and can suit an age range of 20-35 I would say. Some of the themes of the text are; Drug Abuse, Grief, Family, Ambition, recovery and loss. I really hope you enjoy and I always welcome feedback. Thank you for watching!
One for Sorrow Monologue - P2
มุมมอง 11K4 ปีที่แล้ว
I recently did a monologue from the play One for Sorrow by Cordelia Lynn from the character of Chloe - which there is a link for at the beginning of the video. After having learnt that text I was really curious about the play itself and so decided to buy it and give it a read and guess what I LOVED IT! I also discovered that the character of Imogen had a lot more depth to her than I first reali...
Knickers in a Twist (Monologue by Nansi Love)
มุมมอง 2.7K4 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a monologue I wrote about life in quarantine and the struggles so many of us are having financially, as someone who has experienced this first hand I will say selling my knickers has definitely crossed my mind on more than once occasion. I also really wanted to highlight the subtle effects domestic abuse can have on people and try to bring attention to the fact that reports of domestic ...
Monologue Challenge 10/10 - One for sorrow by Cordelia Lynn
มุมมอง 10K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Monologue challenge 10/10! Last one I hope you enjoy! This is Once For Sorrow by Cordelia Lynn in which I am playing Chloe. This text has been slightly edited as I wanted to make it really relevant to the Corona Virus but anyway it's a great monologue if you're looking for a less charismatic character. I really hope you enjoy and would appreciate any feedback in the comments section Thank you f...
Monologue Challenge 9/10 - Henry IV Lady Percy
มุมมอง 6K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Monologue 9/10 From Henry IV Part two playing Lady Percy. I actually filmed two versions of this and got a really weird 50/50 response on it but felt I connected with this one more. But I'll see how everyone responds and maybe put the second version up at some point. A wonderful Shakespeare monologue that has so many levels. My favourite audition speech to go with. The play it's from is so dist...

Acting - unlike life - is a perverse form of security. For 2 hours you know every thought, every word, every reaction, every movement and feeling you will have in real time, as it happens, and at the end you've experienced situations we only dream about or don't realize are so precious until they're over. Thanks to countless writers over centuries who create the characters and circumstances that concentrate life into droplets of truth, beauty and the extremities of the human condition. For those 2 hours of surety, we pay the price with a life of fragility and stress..........but some wouldn't trade it for the world.

I'm looking for good resources for monologues from less well known things. An acting coach told me that casting gets bored if they see the same thing all the time.

Hello Nansi. Have watched all of your monos, and liked them all. However, this one is your best (in my opinion.) I recently starter a "beginners acting" class, and we touched on Mosquitos, which lead me to you. I'd love to speak with you, if that's at all possible? Please look after yourself, stay true to your acting stance, and let me know if we can speak at some point. Just need your perspective on a few things. All the best, Tommy.
