2024 decided to play around with the video capture card .. 2 hrs in trying to figure out how to get the buzzing to go away. Suspected that it was the button in the front as well. ALMOST gave up, and then ran into your video. THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS!

I just installed voicemeeter banana on a new pc and I have 8 sound settings that all say the same thing "VB-Audio Voicemeeter VAIO" ... why? how can i tell the difference between them all???

I need you to help me lol, I had watched another video a couple months back and it worked where it wasnt showing in the VODS but then started showing up again. I just watched your video and did everything as you described however it is still picking up the stream music in "desktop audio".

You're a genius! On my PC, it was driving me crazy trying to figure this out. Worked like a charm. By the way, this is a really bad UI feature for LGP2 Plus, not a fault on user.

omg thank you for the fix! i was about to give up and just use noise suppression but this worked like a charm 💐 initially it didnt let me bring the volume all the way down to red with headsets but when i switched to earphones (then had audio coming out from both earphones and the speaker lul) it worked

Three years later, this stupid-simple fix still works! I had updated my LGP2 Plus firmware a few days ago, and for the life of me I couldn't figure out why the metering was happening. I plugged in a PS4 headset I had lying around, did exactly what you did in the video, and the metering is gone! I'm guessing that the headset volume settings reset with each firmware update, and this fix will probably need to be done every time the firmware is updated. It may seem like a dumb solution, but in reality it's a lifesaver. Thank you so much!! 💖💦

I've followed this to a tee but the music is still coming through my "Desktop audio" which means it is being recorded and I cannot figure out what setting I have wrong. Can anyone help?

Would never have figured that out myself. Thanks! EDIT: Never mind, this has disabled the capture card's audio in OBS entirely, and changing the mic volume on the card doesn't even bring it back 😭

This is awesome and worked perfectly to remove the static in OBS audio output thank you! I do now have static anytime I speak into my mic though. It's a Blue Yeti X (micro-USB from Mic into USB of PC) going into a GO XLR (3.5mm audio to mic 3.5mm on Go XLR). Would you happen to know how to fix? I also have a ground loop isolator being used.

spotify is setup with the meter and still isn't playing when i press play, also how do i stop hearing myself and everything that i do? lmaao

okay... but im using a plugin that separated programs into their own audio channels so that i can control them separately. does this ONLY work if everything is going through desktop?...

I did this tutorial and it works great, however my desktop sound won’t come through. So any game sound or twitch sound alerts won’t work. Apparently chat hears the sound alerts, but I can’t and no one hears the game. Any way around this?

for some reason, my Spotify audio is still coming through desktop audio as well as its own audio track? i did everything in the video, however i am using streamlabs

Hey I’m having an issue where Voice Meeter is crashing OBS after about ten minutes into my stream, I had to uninstall it all together. Could you maybe help me with this?

I did all of this but now it seems my Elgato Capture Device and Desktop audio are no longer working together to stream or record my game audio. I can hear it but am not sure how to fix it so it can be heard on stream.

great video clip i know can listen to all my music an not copyrihght i can still switch between all my audio

for me it still plays audio in both. The thing is though, both my input and output for audio are through a usb mic. I dont know if that has anything to do wit it but the music wont only play in the spotify section of the vod track.
