I'd imagine it would basically be the Ottoman Empire but culturally Greek instead of Turkish. Still being ruled by Eastern Roman/“Byzantine” Emperors instead of Sultans. A “Byzantine Caliphate” would likely be established in a similar manner to how the Ottoman one was after conquering the Mamluks. The biggest impact would be the cultural mixing of Byzantine Greek and Arabic influences on Sunni Islam, and how Europe would react to their change in religion. If the Byzantines ended up conquering North Africa and the Balkans same as the Ottomans, they may be tempted to mimic Justinian by trying to also reconquer Italy.

Ottoman Empire (Caliphate) was somewhat like Islamic Eastern Rome/Byzantine. Mehmet the Conqueror's other title was Kayser-i Rum which means Emperor of Rome. Most of its territories were also Eastern Rome's in the past. So if Byzantine became Muslim, it would be like Ottoman Empire

Also, wouldn't the Vite Ramen collab with Takanashi Kiara count - pretty rare to see a Professionally made Cooking Knife & Cutting Board as common merch. Actually, there is a fairly surprising amount of Kitchenware that Hololive produces with HoloMembers on them - anywhere from Utensils to Bowls to Teacups to Tumblers.

As an Egyptian. This movie made me feel disgusted and indescribable anger They accuse us of being Arab Raiders , even though we are only Arabic-speaking peoples and are not ethnically Arabs. Even if we had not abandoned our mother tongue, Coptic, they would have come up with a new lie from underground and said that we are Greek Raiders who covet our civilization because they have nothing to be proud of!!

I think that Islamic architecture would be more influenced by the Late Roman/Byzantine Architecture and Art. It would have been quite fascinating to see that.

It would have effected eastern roman a lot itlay and other balkan countries would by a muslim empire this would let to huge war between muslims and christians to half total controll over europe

If the byzantines were muslims they would’ve blocked the trade for western europe towards the silk road, like the ottomans did, at the time the richest lands were the ones that practiced intense naval commerce, in particular the Italian maritime republics (Venice, Genova, Amalfi and Pisa. Venice alone in the 13th century was 2 times richer than the entire kingdom of england, same goes for Florence and Genova). When the ottomans blocked the routes 3 major naval powers decided to explore the seas of Africa for safer routes, they were the Portuguese, the Italians and the Spaniards, but in a scenario where the byzantines convert to islam the only ones that would actually exist are the Spanish Visigoths and the Italian Lombards, the portuguese formed during the Reconquista. So another consequence would be that the Americas would be discovered earlier. Also i highly doubt that half of europe would be muslim, western europe was catholic not orthodox, they weren’t allied to the eastern christians and since the richest and most populated part of europe is actually the west (italy, portugal, france, spain, england and germany) the muslims would be 25/30% at max
