This is my favorite movie I’ve wear out three dvd of it luke is just such a extremely interesting character and I think David weham plays him greatly he was an excellent choice I love his colt 45 single action army revolver witch his gun is inscribed on the back strap the words are GOSPEL ACCORDING TO LUKE witch I would give anything for the actual gun and holster used in the film and i also find it interesting Luke lives by the gun it is his bible and his brother lives by the Bible at first but soon lives by the gun and goes back to the Bible they could be more different but the same and I love redemption film very much and like it that Luke’s is a bad guy who we have to love you don’t see many characters like him I just enjoyed the movie greatly

This is one of the best films I have ever watched. I saw it in a film festival in Ankara in 1995. I still remember how much it affected me. Bravo to the director and his whole team!

My favourite movie. Dear Milcho, when I saw this film for the first time I was at the Venice Film Festival in 1994. The great coincidence was that my grandfather was in competition with Gianni Amelio's film "Lamerica". My grandfather was the lead actor in the film. So I told my grandfather that as good as his film was, he had struck me in a particular way "Before the rain". And the golden lion was yours 😃
