Don’t put that stupid screw back in
This worked perfectly for me. I had gone at it with a pipe wrench, channel locks, and lots of profanity…..wouldn’t budge and was really deformed at that point. I used an allen wrench to put through the bushing and pipe
I'm in this situation right now, trying to remove a fouled vacuum breaker. The house is 4 years old and the hose bib sits slightly inside the vinyl siding housing. Stupid of the builder to do this. The other problem I have is that the set screw is underneath the hose bib and it's hard as heck to see what I'm doing. I'm trying hard to avoid calling the plumber as it will be a $300 job. Going to the store to get a dremel to try to cut down to the threads. I'm also ordering a 5mm set screw slotted for an allen key next time around. I understand the needed function, but contractors make them hard to get off!!!
Good luck
Your awesome, thanks for video!! having same issue going to try and replace these just ordered 10pc from amazon that had decent reviews for $7.50 fingers crossed.
Worked great. Only 1 was visible buldged but replaced the cluster of 3 to be safe. For $8 it was worth it. Thanks again!
What size is the capacitor so I don’t have to take it apart twice to find out since I live two hours away from the closest place to get one
At the end of the video, 470uf 35v , 10x21mm
@@UncleYutuI opened it and looked no place locally to get ordered will arrive tomorrow. I had 470uf but only 15 and 25 volt in a kit over had for repair of other things. Hopefully this fixes my problem
I got the same code same problem, i follow your video step by step, i did it! Now the refrigerator work well, Thank you!!!!
Glad it helped
Sometimes when the electricity goes off and on quickly it might show this code. I unplugged mine for about 10 minutes, then plugged it back in. All is well.
Wow, that's awesome!! Where can you get one??? Want to plz
Imagine having that randomly go off when it gets windy out
Neat, but what happens when you don't have your hand under the candy dispenser, a sugar mess on the floor?
Rube Goldberg would be proud
That is actually really cool.. id a loved this as a kid
They are Very skilled! Super impressive 😮
And where do I buy one!
Looks home made
Smart design !!!
You Got it Done. Wire Brush the threads and throw away the Lock/Set Screw. Hand Tight only. Gotta be Super Careful not to damage pipe inside the wall. Would equal a Bad Day!!
1:25 blocked the at a critical part
So how did you fix the neutral switch in the control box?
This model has two neutral switches, one inside the remote control box, another one on the engine side. I fixed it by adjusting the cable ends at the engine side. The neutral switch has a stainless steel ball which gets in and out a hole when the engine switches from forward, neutral and backward. In this case, it is out of position when it is switched from forward to neutral
@@UncleYutu Thanks
i need to do thiss but my set screw is in the back and i need to cut away in the front
What did you do ? I saw on another video cutting away that section is done to remove the set screw - each cut is on the side of the set screw - I can't find the damn set screw
Thanks for taking the time to post this. I'm going to give this a go.
Nice video !!
Best idea is to remove it. It can cause freeze protected faucets to freeze, I’ve seen it flood peoples homes twice. Have you ever heard of someone being poisoned by water flowing back into the system? It doesn’t happen. No cities enforce this regulation with the exception of a couple communist cities and only through construction codes. No laws exist. No one will fine you for not having it. Worst case you will have to install before you sell your home.
Thank you. How do you get the motherboard off the housing case? Plastic caps are holding it in and I don’t know how to remove them.
I used my soldering iron to heat it up
Good job
I used a an extractor tool and drill bit to remove the old headless set screw. I wound up just drilling out the set screw . The screw head was removed and the only thing visible was its little round circle to drill through. Replaced it with a new one from Lowes and left the square head set screw intact.
You just saved me $150 on a new main board bud. Thank you so much. I got 2 more capacitors extra now 🤣🤣. Thank youuuuuuu!!!!!!!
Glad I could help
Hi. We have a 1 year old frigidaire refrigorifer side by side, which start showing us: Er CE, on screen. What is this, and how to fix it P.s, I unplugged the refrigorifer for like 20 mins and plugged back and still samething, it works good but the screen not working and water stop working. Thanks
Did'nt work for shit. Nipple just twisted apart. Try that on something that isn't new
good video, after watching many I found the one I needed, thank you for sharing it for the effort and the applied technique
Narrating what you were doing might have made the video useful.
How do you replace
th-cam.com/video/XUp6x9dvZOA/w-d-xo.html search it on TH-cam you will find some good ones
Please tell me I'm a widow and mine is doing this beep and reading S5 EC
Got the same floor jack and stand combo with 6 ton stands. Another cool thing about the safety pin is that it prevents the ratchet mechanism engaging. Even when under load it would take an insane amount of force to knock the lever but it's nice to know it's there. Never know
this is exactly the same vacuum breaker i have and am trying to replace! Thanks! What did you use to drill through the old one??
www.ryobitools.com/products/details/18v-one-plus-jobplus-with-multi-tool-attachment
@@UncleYutu I need to replace the same one too. I just want to know if I have to cut it (like you did) or if I can just use the pipe wrench to unscrew it? does the cut release it? With my luck I'd cut the pipe underneath it by accident. Mine vacuum breaker is about 25 years old.
bluediamondz3587 since it’s 25 years old i will try the pipe wrench first. Good luck
@@alinux09 Thanks Mark, I didn't see a screw or one that was ground down so I think unscrewing it will probably work., thanks! I'll let you know how it goes, the replacements will be here Thursday.
@@bluediamondz3587 I can't find a set screw either - from what I've seen is if you do have a set screw and can't find it and you go and try to wrench the thing off you will tear up the threads and then have to replace the whole faucet
