I felt the eye poke affected Fiziev. I can't stand eye pokes. A friend told me it's a fight, if you're losing, you're going to fight dirty. But the thing is this isn't a street fight, there are rules, and if your opponent is following the rules, so should you. I really wish this was a 5 round fight. Same as the Charles Oliveira vs. Arman Tsarukyan fight.

I think it’s crazy we sit here and glorify TJ’s fight here when there’s a plethora of bullshit behind it 1. TJ was on EPO. He cheated, and EVERYONE ridiculed him for it. I didn’t think he’d gain any respect whatsoever back 2. TJ got gifted this title shot off a robbery Vs Sandhagen. The fight imo was clearly sandhagen’s in 3 rounds to 2, arguably 4 if you want to give the credit. Damage > control time, and TJ landed no damage with his control time, + Cory sandhagen was not on the ground after any takedown beyond 30 seconds besides round 1. This should’ve been cory’s title fight. 3. TJ made it abundantly clear in the post fight interview that his arm popped in and out of socket a good 20+ times in preparation for the fight. Excuse me but how the FUCK are you able to make it to fight day with this? Sure his surgery retired him for good but maybe an earlier surgery where he didn’t fuck it up even further like he did in the fight would’ve saved him. It was complete arrogance and stupidity which leads into my final point 4. He routinely uses excuses in post fight losses and is notorious for being a sore loser. Look at the Dom fight, look at the Henry fight (where he cheated; “I worked my ass off for this”), and now it’s here in the Aljo fight. I believe it was a built in excuse where TJ knew he didn’t have it anymore at his age, and used it as an opportunity to paint his image a better way before the ride into the sunset. And damnit it worked for a lot of people. I ultimately just don’t understand the love for TJ and sudden switch in demeanor. In retirement he’s been chill but as a fighter he was a complete asshole and douche. Especially as a training partner. I do not fw TJ the fighter
