Would it be crazy to analyze what implies to get 127M in profits from both new product alternatives? Accessories with 40% margin would mean reach 318M in revenues by Y5 while the same in shoes with 50% margin would impliy 254M in revenue by year5. Even without crunching in the mkt growth rate...254M in 5 years in the shoes market which accounts for 500M today, and has 3 major players would imply to basically gain in 5Y almost 50% of the market share, which is currently shared by 3 major players (storng entry barriers and competition). Would it be a crazy approach to discard the lux shoes option, with this reasoning?

this is all so corporate it's really hard to even memorize how to use these formulas if you're trying to get into the corporate world. creating stuff out of thin air and manipulating more thin air. really hard to memorize. it's all made up and trivial

Hi! Great video! To solve this market sizing I started by directly "eliminating" the residents of NY who did not consume coffee and then segmented those who did, similarly as you did. So basically I segmented 75% of NY population into 25% who drink 1 coffee, 50% who drink 2 and 25% who drink 4. I used this approach based on your pet food example. How does it compare to the approach you used in this video?
