Although I have not got into Duke and am applying I feel what you mean about it being an epdiemny of accomplishments especially for asian parents. However I am trying not to think of it like that and I am thinking it matters less where I go and more that I put the effort in and make change wherever I go

Im really glad that this experience gave you the courage to speak up and use your voice, I feel like as soon as I stopped being so focused on what others would pericve me as vs me actually just saying what I found to be meaningful

1:07 I made an exact video about this, the questions is always is god real is religion real but the thing is religion has so many applications and teaches so many values our modern society would never have came to this point without the driver of a higher power and I say this as someone who does not exactly believe too much in any god

I relate to this a lot a lot of times when I go out of my routine of lifting I go somewhere else I initially get a bit upset I am getting unfit but then I just enjoy the new experiences I make that I will never get back. Also same with the food privilege a lot of us including me are so lucky to have food to aid us for our fitness goal something so elementary but taken for granted thanks for sharing

Wise words from an exceptionally talented young woman who WILL accomplish anything she sets her mind to do. You, Rohini, are a shining example of the DukeEngage program and more importantly, are a beautiful spirit whom I am honored to have met last summer. I wish you all the best this life has to offer. Know that YOU made an indelible imprint on the lives of hundreds of girls (both participants and staff) by simply being you. Beautiful.
