I always felt that Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are band aids for horrible infotainment systems. They are cool for what they are, but if you don't have Android Auto built in into the infotainment, then you just have a layer on top of your car's OS. That means you don't get car info, especially important in EVs, so you don't get navigation that account for charging stops etc. Whereas in Tesla you get a good OS with good hardware and you can get your music, podcasts etc. with integrated solutions (Apple Podcasts, Audible, Tidal, Spotify, Apple Music,, TH-cam Music...). So there's really no point in having Android Auto or Carplay, since you have all the entertainment, Google Maps and car data built in into one system.

In Europe stealth gray is one of the most expensive paint for model 3. Only red is more expensive. I got my stealth gray LR 3 months ago and I’m extremely happy. Only downside is one rattle from left side dash by the windshield. It seems it’s appearing only on hot days 😁

The "speaker up there" is not a speaker. Thats where the telematics are located and because they're getting cooked by the sun, they have a fan, therefore the vents.

I would love to run waze on the tesla screen. Other than that, I have no use for my phone while driving. And, My phone keeps becoming very hot due to the wirless charging. Would be absolutely perfect if we could turn off the wireless phone charging. I got a wire to charge. It's faster and cooler and more efficient.

What would be your take on not having a gauge cluster? Do you get used to it or is it missed?

I took delivery of a Ultra red M3P one week today. It was pouring rain that day, and I was so pissed off i couldn't even do a proper walk through of the car. I took delivery and just hoped nothing would be wrong. It's been a week now and I have found zero issues. The sale rep almost got a piece of me though; asked him if I can go look at the car before paying and he was like "yeah, but i can't unlock it until you took delivery". How the fuck im buying a 60K car and I can't look inside before paying? Where they do that at. He lucky it was pouring so I let it go. Great car so far; got dizzy after I made a pull, lol.

You said it yourself, house is a lifetime investment. You do not purchase *any* house, you purchase *the* house. There is zero reason to buy a dilapidated hovel in rural Ohio that needs to be repaired, renovated, furnished, insured and paid property tax on. You save money, but you get to live in a depressing, unsafe place with no jobs and no amenities. Here in Canada, house prices have doubled in the last decade. (This affects rent rates, as well.) Vancouver takes _third_ place in real estate prices in North America and _thirty third_ in wages. Factor in market manipulation by companies like AirBnB, inflation, insane taxes and uncontrollable immigration. Lowering the interest rate does not seem to help much. This means that an average resident will never get to own a house. They literally redefined the word "homelessness" so that it is no longer considered an emergency. I am glad for you, but your situation does not represent the new reality.

“Anyone can save for a house.” You lived with your parents for years, barely getting by so you could save. For many people, that isn’t a choice. You also said that only 30% of your wage goes towards your mortgage. It would be way higher nowadays considering the rising cost of housing everywhere (yes, I understand how down payments and interest rates work). Congrats on getting in during a good time in 2018 and finding a reasonable price. However, your “fuck you, I got mine” attitude does not come across well, sir. The high cost of living today, including skyrocketing prices for essentials like food and healthcare, makes it nearly impossible for many to save for a house. I will continue to save so that one day I may afford a house, but it really seems that the American Dream has set sail unless there is a major correction.

Most people can't even afford the simplest of houses. I'm talking one floor, maybe with a kitchen that opens into a living area, with a hallway that has a bedroom across from a bathroom, or maybe two bedrooms, maybe one master, and one guest next to the bathroom, and maybe with a small deck that extends from the main living area. Even something like that is going to be ridiculously overpriced in most parts of the country (U.S.), in parts like Canada, for example, something like that can be a million or close to it, I'm not kidding. Even 200k is too much for a property like the one I described, it should be around 70k at the most, and sure you might be able to find a house like the one I described around that price range, but it is probably going to be way out in the sticks, or in a bad part of town, or it will be a house that is in severe disrepair, or two or more of those things will be true. Most people will not be able to buy a house unless they borrow money from a bank, which means they don't actually own that house until they have paid the bank off, if you don't believe me then stop paying your mortgage for a while, and you will learn pretty quickly who actually owns that house you bought. Yes, it is a huge load of bull, and there is in fact a push by the current ruling class to get everyone (eventually) to rent because that is just another potential way for them to control people and make money off of them, Blackrock is a good example of this. The idea of starting a family in that kind of financial mess is laughable, "wahhh, what happened to the birth rate, wahh...", gee, maybe one of the main issues is that it's not really affordable anymore. As for saving, you'd better start working when you are maybe 12 and save every penny you make, with today's economy being the way it is, if you want to own a house and a car in your 20s or 30s and not feel too stressed out with payments, things are that bad. It has nothing to do with laziness, and more to do with poor money management, if anything, and market manipulation on the other end. Nobody who saves their money to gain independence from their parents should have to sell everything they own or struggle as much as you did just to buy and keep a basic house, it is absurd, our parents and grandparents never had that problem. Things need to change, the housing/property market is a market that deserves to collapse, if nothing else, and I sincerely hope that it does.

Is this a parody? You really think there aren't people out there who are on extremely good wages but are saving absolutely nothing because a small house costs nearly 1m and nursery fees for kids is another 5k a month? And they can't even take 2 months off work otherwise their savings will be gone. Meanwhile their parents or older siblings never had to spend more than 100 a month on their mortgage.

Try it in Australia, median house price for a fibro dog kennel out west is over a million bucks, price to annual income ration about 15x or higher. The market is impossible to get into, and that has spilled over into rents.

Straight facts man. I live in australia and it has arguably the worst real estate market in terms of buying rn. I was pre apporved for 700k and took a 350k loan for a small house and its almost paid off. Problem is people buy mcmansions, boats, cars and vacations and then bitch about the cost of living.
