The Reluctant TBR Tag was created by @ChloeFrizzle. I was tagged by Tiffany @beautifulminutiae. The Questions: What is a book you want to read, but... 1. It was a soft DNF (unable to finish it the first time, want to try again) 2. You’ve read another book by that author and didn’t enjoy it 3. You are just adorable Kelli! I also have friends that are your hight or shorter and they sometimes buy children's clothes too 🤣
@@krisreviews thank you so much, friend! I had fun with this one!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I haven't read any Elizabeth Gaskell yet but I did buy North and South so I may be reading it next year... My favorite read this month was The Age of Innocence, by Edith Wharton and I am considering making a video about it. I love Rebecca and I am hoping to get more Daphne du Maurier books next year. Happy November!!!🍁📚🍁
@@Dawnsbookreviews Happy November! I hope in November you find another favorite book! 🍁🍂
Thanks for the readathon shout out! By my count, you're hitting at least two, probably three prompts! Christian nonfiction, female main character, and probably stubborn characters. 😂😂
@@MorgansEndlessBookshelf I noticed I called it a marathon twice after downloading . 🙈I hope ya’ll can run and read at the same time! 🤣
It sounds like a month of good reading. And yes, I agree that the debtor's prison was the best portion of Pickwick Papers. My sister loves One Tree Hill, but I don't know if she's read Bethany's book. She may have, I know we've talked about her time in a cult before.
@@CourtneyReads I had a client that worked for Warner Brothers and covered the show in its early days. She told me she was worried that one of the actresses was a part of a cult. Now I know she was correct.
Loved hearing your favorite things!
@@CandlewickLibrary 🥰
What a cute dog!
@@CandlewickLibrary thank you!
I love the coverlast lipstick too! I don't know if I have that exact shade, but I do have one that's a burgundy color. I've been loving the pecan turtle rooibos tea I got from Adagio. I told my brother I was going to let him try it when I see him later this year, but I'm not sure it's going to last that long 😂
@@Coffee_and_a_Book I bet burgundy would look great on you!
Thank you for this video! Currently reading The Age of Innocence, by Edith Wharton!! Sending autumnal hugs!!🍁🎃🍁
Autumnal hugs right back at you, friend!
🎉love the footage roll at the start Yes, Kelli break the US steryotype and love the tea - oooh not heard of either teas, love earl grey, chai, and roobioos/red bush alongside regular tea. Spiced apple chamomile and Fennel are my fave for sleepy/ anti-bloating 💜📚
Thank you, friend! We were at a farm being pulled by a tractor in a little hay ride at the beginning of the footage. Then that was the front of my house and the back of my son raking. The sunset was the farm literally to the side of my house. 💜 I have not seen spiced apple chamomile before! I need to find that.
@kellireadsalot awww amazing country fall vibes xxx💜📚
I am in a very rural area in Georgia. The trees are changing. It’s cool here at night down in the low 40’s. I loved this video. I am going to try the peach tea.
Thank you for being here! I hope you love the peach tea. ❤
Loved hearing about your favorites right now! Weather is weird... I've seen a spectrum but now I am back in SC and it's bouncing around. It was in the 80s a few days ago then in the 50s and back to the 70s. Trees have been changing everywhere I've been, but there has been more falling than anything.
We have lots of leaves from trees that have already changed(as you could see from C raking), but our own maple is going slowly.
Our trees are not only changed but are losing 🍂 leaves rapidly!
We are getting lots of leaves from other people’s trees who have already changed. We had a very dry summer, so my guess is fall foliage will be short lived. 😢
Hooray for African Autumn getting some love♥️❣️ I use Thieves to clean everything! It goes in my mop water, counter spray, laundry detergent & carpet cleaner! 😂 I’ve never worn it though 🤯
The one I showed already has a carrier oil mixed in. However, I don’t find it so strong that I need one if I get a little dab from a bottle.
You seem nice😊
Saving my Assassin sounds so good! Ooo I’m reading HP book two with my kiddos right now. I haven’t read them in sooo long and am falling in love all over again. Adding The Book of Three to the list for the kids someday. I feel like I need to start a separate Goodreads for them - I forget what I save for myself and for them!
@@BandanaBookmom please read Saving My Assassin for nonfiction November so we can discuss! The Book of Three has such fun characters. The kids are teens, but it has a more middle grade feel. I feel so far(about 1/4 through book two) The Prydain Chronicles is a less scary series than HP.
@@kellireadsalot ooo good to know about Prydain - maybe I’ll start soon! I’ll see if I can get an audio of Saving my Assassin - I have such a huge stack of physical books I’m trying to chose from for Nonfiction November
I've never read Holly Black but have always wanted to give her a try 🤗
Yes, I loved The Scapegoat! I actually read it years before I was on booktube, so I didn’t read it with Deea, but we’ve talked about it.
@@beautifulminutiae I would assume that I would love it because I loved all that I had read from her until The King’s General. I literally hated that one.
@@kellireadsalot I haven’t read that one yet!
Today I learned that Don Quixote is also a ballet😮I had no idea!
@@beautifulminutiae yes! It’s a beautiful one with a lot of Spanish flair. 🥰
Thank you for the tag!
@@AlmasBookJourney My pleasure!
Love that you shine a spotlight on these people! And, because I'm easily distracted by this kind of thing, I wanted to point out that "booktubers" is plural, but not possessive, so no apostrophe is needed. 🙃
@@RachelB.BookReferences yes! That was an autocorrect thing(I guess they don’t really know the word) I didn’t catch.

@@brandistillart I’m so glad you enjoy her too!
Wow! Thank you so much for recommending my channel!! I am so grateful !!!❤
@@Dawnsbookreviews My pleasure!
I don't love contemporary romance either, but i occasionally enjoy a good rom-com. I read Don Quixote a few years back and enjoyed it overall. The second part was a but mind boggling because it was like a meta narrative... I don't know if that's quite the right terminology, but it was like a story about people living in a story. Anyway, i like the ballet, too. My students really enjoyed it last year when i shared clips with them.
@@insearchofwonder I will have to buckle down and read it someday.
I loved the first 2 pages & co books, liked ok the next 2 books, and dnf'd the series after book 4, too!!!! 😂
@@believeinyourshelf lol! That’s so funny that you did the same!
I love contemporaries around Christmas too! I just haven't found very many good ones yet 😅 Flowers for Algernon is a really good story, although there are a few things that come up that I'm not a fan of. It was originally written as a short story if you can find it and want to give it a try first. I think I liked the short story better in some ways because the problematic aspects weren't as prominent.
@@Coffee_and_a_Book thank you for warning me about possible content for Flowers of Algernon. I found some sweet contemporaries by Melody Carlson last year.
@@kellireadsalot I'll look into those. Thanks!
I started Don Quixote but only read two chapters. Just not the right time. But I do want to read it. I always find it interesting when I hear everyone say "so and so has very similar reading tastes to me" because I can’t think of a single person that I align with super closely.
@@CourtneyReads I was responding to this yesterday and got interrupted. 🤣I think people align on certain genres. Like we enjoy similar types of classics.
@@kellireadsalot oh yes, some overlap definitely. It's more surprising to me when readers talk about aligning with someone on almost everything.
Thanks for the tag! I’m behind on tags too, but I might do this one soon because it is fun!
@@CandlewickLibrary yes, this one was fun! I need to do a tag you tagged me in too.
I dnfd the pages and co series. I loved how it started but every book just disappointed me after that, so I just stopped
@@CandlewickLibrary yeah, it’s not one I’m going to share with my kids, except for the first wonderful book.
I am the same with Don Quixote. I want to read it eventually, but I don’t know if I realllly want to 😊
@@CandlewickLibrary maybe someday we can try together. 😊
Awesome ! Thx for the recommendation. Go team.
@@BookBuds yay team! Thanks for being awesome BookTune supporters.
His name is Hagrid!!!! That’s genius!
It's been years since I've seen The Black Cauldron, but I've been curious about whether the series it was based on was worth reading or not. Glad to hear your enjoyed it!
The Brontë sisters!! 💜I want to read more of their books! Tenet of Wildfell Hall is very high on my TBR maybe this year! Great recs! Reading Agnes Grey with you was so much fun!

I’ve often wondered if I would like Pickwick Papers. I’ll look forward to your review when you do finish it. We read the first Penderwicks book, but we haven’t read any more of them. Are they all good?
@@CandlewickLibrary I really liked this one. I have only read the first one and the is one. We did the audio and my husband was engaged with it too.
