love the car bro!! will be ordering your kits to run the same brake setup on my 67 coupe. looking forward to more videos
I've got the same brake calipers as shown in the video but I'm wonder which kit is this? The website shows a 15" for a 2014 GT500, and a 14" for 2015-23. I just don't see one for a 14" kit before 2015.
Awesome, subscribed and looking forward to more of this car. I have a 66 coupe that I've been driving as much as I can, that I call the Krustang. It was sitting for 18 years after an engine was half installed, I bought it for cheap, finished putting it all together and she fired right up. She ain't pretty but I'm just keeping it alive and enjoying it while my long term project is underway in my shop.
Great to hear! That's what it's all about, getting your Mustang back on the road so you can enjoy it!
Well I am a new follower. Own a 66 GT-350 Replica and a 69 Mach 1 S-code. Both standard transmissions. Go with the highland green or the green you mentioned
Nice! The great thing about a replica is that you get to enjoy a special car, but can drive it hard not worry about destroying a priceless car!
That’s a great story, congrats on keeping MustangSteve alive and well!
now for the assembly
We will add that video soon!
Good info but can't hear commentary. Need to use remote mic.
Thanks for the feedback, we will work on that for future videos!
Appreciate this how-to video. Well versed in the foxbody 7.5/8.8 diff and axel/bearing removal. Will be doing this on my 69 Mach soon, so seeing what's involved with the pressed on bearings is greatly appreciated. Need to order some longer studs too.
In the near future will you guys offer a rear kit that utilizes the electric parking brake along with the rear caliper?
Yes, we are working on that and hope to have something out later this year.
@@mustangsteve66 excellent i can’t wait
What a wonderful detailed assembly process! These kits are top quality.
Thanks for the feedback; Glad you like our kits!
Looks good and seems pretty easy. Although, I dont know if I can justify spending 300$ on a few pieces of metal and some bolts.
You are not paying for just steel, you are paying for the design, precision machining, and tech support you get when you buy a MustangSteve kit.
Unfortunately, you can't see the value and quality. The way I look at it is saving at least 1k with this set over competitor also I was not about to start a forge and handcraft these😂😂
Is that a 2014 gt500 hub?
I took off the drum brakes off the car '65 mustang and that was the hub on the vehicle.
No, that is the original drum brake hub.
Where did that hub come from?
This is the original wheel hub.
@@port178 from the GT500?
@@port178 from gt500?? I guess Cause 65 mustangs don’t have hubs separate
@@dugganracecraft it is the original from the Mustang. The drum brakes did have seperate hubs,
didnt the 13 and 14 's have a 6 piston brembo?
Yes, that was an option but not all GT500s had 6-piston Brembos.
@@briansnodgrass3849 I installed the 19 Bullitt front calipers on my 2007 GT500. In conjunction with the red calipers, I used 2013 15” rotors and 2013 front brake lines, I’m pretty sure all 2013-2014 GT500’s came standard with 6 piston calipers
What brand of wheels are those used at the end ?
Those are from American Legend (3 piece wheel) 18x8 Front & 18x10 rear.
@@port178 I can't find those wheels anywhere. Did they discontinue them?
