We The People SwampMaster bmx - First Ride
มุมมอง 972ปีที่แล้ว
First ride at my local mtb jumps on the Swamp Master. I'm 78kg and had the forks set to about 100psi. Rebound as slow as it goes and compression almost all the way locked. The rear shock I had about 150psi with the rebound as slow as possible. Tyres were stock Kenda Kaos at about 35psi. These are mtb jump so my first few runs I hit these like I normally would on my regular BMX. By going in with...

you can get maxxis dhr in 20", they are real mtb tires, those kenda tires dont look very knobby.

Where is this?
The GoPro angle at 4:16 did you NO JUSTICE, that path was gnarly, and you sent it expertly. PLEASE keep filming and uploading content of you riding this bike, this category needs to grow and I would love to see more options and models make their way in to the market!
why don't you just buy an MTB? this bike seems like a downgrade from every bike possible
Isnt it to heavy? How does it feel compared to Trail MTB?
Not too heavy at all. It feels like a regular bmx really. Just smooth feeling on the rough stuff

As a taller (6’3”) rider who still finds myself enjoying 20” BMX the slight bump in size offered by this bike looks extra appealing. Such a cool concept! Great video!
So thats what me and my son look like in the mtb trails with our BMX hahaha i get the looks we were getting now!
Where is that

How do you like the swampmaster bike ? Its worth it ?
Totally worth it. I had no idea what to expect. It took me a short time to adjust to the slightly taller bars than regular bmx and in still working out fork and shock pressure depending on what I'm riding. For the steep DH stuff I ran the fork at 80psi with no HSC. The rear shock is at 150psi. I'm about 80kg. For jumping I did have 100psi and lots of HSC on the fork but tried 110psi and no HSC and it felt a lot less explosive and more like a regular bmx. I need to up the rear shock to 170psi or 180psi for a bit more support and less bottom out. I'm still currently running the fork and shock with the slowest rebound. The bike has plenty of pop. It wants to send you high and far with minimal effort compared to regular bmx. Parts wise it's great. Wheels are solid. The rear hub is really nice. Crank set is great. The brakes feel really good too. I dislike the 2.5 degree upsweep on the bars with the extra height of the forks. I usually ride Hoder and Hoder high which have the same 11 degree backsweep but only 1.5 degree upsweep. My first ride I had the bars parallel to the forks but it felt like they were rolled back lots or had slipped while riding. So I have them slightly forward now and feels much better. Its not designed for the steep DH I did and was a lot to handle but it made it through. It's average at best in skateparks. It feels slow, wallowy and soft. The tyres have a max pressure of 35psi and on concrete they feel like riding a fat bike but on hard pack dirt with some loose on top, they feel great. They make the ride feel really plush and have plenty of grip. I can't wait to ride it more. I think it's worth it. Still not comfortable enough on it to do things like turndowns over jumps yet.
@@pete4130 thank for all the info, I really appreciate it! I have one more question, how tall are you ? I am 173 cm or 5,7" do you think this bike will fit me OK, I ride 20,75 on my bmx !
@@IsaacMr-m6f I'm 175cm/5'9" tall. I normally ride a 21" Barcode and I have a 21.125(?) Credence CCR. This is 21.5 but because the forks are longer and it raises the headtube up, it shortens the distance so it feels more like a 21". Longer is better for the type of riding this bike is for. The rear end is 14.1" to 14.8". Stock, mine is about 14.4" and it feels great for manuals. Literally just lean back and sit in them easily. Locking the rear shock helps them lots too. My Barcode I have at about 13.75" rear and the CCR is about 13.9" or 14.1". This bike handled a super steep DH trail that people struggle on with their 29er mountain bikes.
Lenins Chute claims another rider. 🤘
Nice looking trail - must be fun in the daylight.
Sick riding boys!
Does your E1 have the rattle? Mine sound exactly like the EP8 motor rattle.
Soooo good, man.
Good times :)
Are the brakes any better since your first ride?
Yeah, I gave them a good bleed and straightened out the rotors and they've been sweet ever since.
Cool, they're an awesome bike aren't they. I ride my mates E2 last Sunday and it's superb
The E1 is great. The forks not so much. I've had a few niggly issues with it, the latest being rapid battery degradation of the internal BT-8035 battery, which seems to be a common issue.
How did it go? Also where do you mount your GoPro? Is it on wide angle?
I had this on a chesty. It's a gopro 8. It wasn't mine so not sure of the settings.
