Hello , welcome and welcome back. 3:24 sound clips I took some time and did some hard research and decided to go with a 2 in 1 exhaust, I always been a true dual exhaust fan but this Smoke muffler 2 in 1 got my attention. To name a few , Basani, two bro racing, sawicki , sp concepts …. Etc etc. are amazing exhaust companies, but it comes with a price 1k and up. Smoke muffler are around 420-520 ...
Harley Davidson Road glide 2024: Will older models road glide aftermarket part fit ?!?

Hi, I am just a #harleydavidson enthusiast. I like the new #roadglide2024. In this Video I will show some of the things I wish I would’ve known before purchasing the new 2024 Road glide. I use to have a road glide special 2021 and if you are thinking re using your aftermarket parts this is the video for you. We are going to cover floorboards, pegs, exhaust slip ons, handlebars, seat. Will all t...
how is the exhaust now that you have had it a while any issues
It’s been going on for 10 months, absolutely zero issues
My LePera Maverick Daddy LL seats fits perfectly. It’s on my 2024 RG CVO. Not sure what happened here bud. I got pictures to show
!!!
I wonder if it because is a CVO.. but is all the same damn frame. That’s weird
@@HDMisfit1 … definitely the same frame. Who is your sales rep at LePera? I have customized 4 seats with Nancy A. I work directly with the team on the ground in North Hollywood CA. That’s where they make all seats. I ensure my design needs are met by receiving samples of various material options. I make sure to repeatedly say this is for a 2024 Harley blah blah.. I wonder if you have a 2023 model seat. If the seat is not customized, you should be able to return it. Give me your email address, I will send you pictures of what I got.
Yes I do, so that video is in reference for the 2017-2023 models will fit not 2024. The seat is definitely a no go lol… Pegs, floorboard, exhaust .. they all fit lol
No heat shields?
They do come with heat shields, I decided not to install them for a more raw look
Just installed mine
Sweet, what are your thoughts ??
@@HDMisfit1 idk haven’t started it yet I still need to change the engine oil, primary oil, and spark plugs lol
@@HDMisfit1 I will admit I like the look of it and big weight difference
So installed it and ran it only issue I see is the muffler is really close to the saddle bag and looks like it might melt
@tylerpreston1124 it won’t melt it, after long ride slight carbon build up
did you notice any cracks yet or leaks? im looking for a good exhaust but if it loses power and what not ill pay for the higher end
So far it has been 2k miles strong. No leaks or cracks.
@@HDMisfit1 is it very very loud on highway riding?
@@CodyMcDonald89 loud enough to be heard , great loud sound at idle, not loud enough to give you tinnitus at your rides, wind probably do that before the exhaust does
@@HDMisfit1 gotcha tough choice hahah I'm looking at the 2 brothers 2 into 1 as well there on sale for 750
Lol im lookin at the gold one for my 23 cvo road glide not sure yet
Just send it man lol
Hey man great video. I am looking to tackle this job also but not 100% sure how to go about jacking up the front end. Can you explain where you aligned your jacks?
Thank you , I placed the jack stand underneath the bolt that holds the brake pedal ( is sturdy enough to not cause metal damage bend and such ensure that is not resting on any cables or the break spring. On the opposite side gear side I put the hydraulic jack same thing ensure is on the bolt and not resting on the shift linkage. The bike is not heavy enough to cause damage.
@HDMisfit1 okay awesome man thanks for the response!
Any issues don’t hesitate to ask. I’ll keep monitoring the comment session as much as I can.
@@HDMisfit1 right on man thanks I appreciate it !
Any issue? Have you manage to fix the forks yet ?
Le pera= garbage Got a kickflip daddy long leg for my dyna it’s soaked and full of moldy water, compared to my drag specialty’s predator 3 this seat is a nightmare
Damn. Good to know. Thank you for the heads up
Do not order a Saddlemen Road Sofa with heated seats and backrest. It doesn’t fit either.
I swear HD cater to 5’2 mofos
Is it like the same set up as a Milwaukee eight was looking to get one too what are my current mufflers is broken and was looking to upgrade
Yea. Same fit for all m8’s to include the new 2024’s
@@HDMisfit1ok thank you looking at getting the black one but says from 1998 to 2017 didn’t know if will work for the m8
Another question did you notice and power difference?
@@tylerpreston1124 once I installed the exhaust system, I installed the tuner as well. I haven’t dyno it yet. But the placebo effect is real. I do feel a better take off and smoother acceleration. I need numbers to actual confirm.
How long have you had the exhaust and have you had any problems with it?
Damn, was just about to order. Thanks
Was looking for that exhaust but could find it, could you send the link? And that’s on a 2024 road glide?

I want this exhaust... is it really loud while riding or stays behind u?
It’s pretty loud but doesn’t ruin the riding experience by screaming in your ear, my helmet is not the best in wind noise but I don’t get a ringing on my ear after a hour ride.
Sounds great 👍
Thank you , It does! Not bad for a mid entry full exhaust
looks good. im researching for getting one for my 21 street bob. i live in san diego right at the ocean and im wondering if it will get alot of rust and pitting though ?
Thank you, I used to live in PR and the only way to prevent pre mature rust was to clean, or wipe down the exhaust after a ride. Good after care you shouldn’t have any issues
Hi Bro, this exhaust need new map?
Supposedly you don’t have to if you don’t have a aftermarket intake installed. My recommendation is yes dude, tune it. There is no restriction on this exhaust and your bike stock comes already lean from factory , you don’t wanna mess you engine up. I have the screaming eagle tuner and I conducted the smart tune on it, runs really good.
@HDMisfit1 do you live in CA?
@@Stripping_Bolts no I do not

What are your floorboards? Looks awesome!

I had a lot of struggle with getting mufflers on. I purchased rinehart 4 inch. Left side was fine… after 3 stops at the auto parts store… I got the right side on. From factory the muffler opening was not wide enough. Once the slip on was flared open it went on like normal. I am not sure if that is the case for all slip ons, but for this brand… ANNOYING! 😬 I was thinking about adjusting my handle bars towards me a little. From what you stated, I won’t be able to loosen the clamp fasteners and just tilt the bars???
What ?!? That’s odd.. I had the stock 2021 debaffled stock muffler and it was no issue installing them to the 2024 RG, dang sorry to hear that. You shouldn’t have any issues adjusting towards you. When you want to adjust away thats where you need to break the internal nipple. You should be good. When you loosen the 4 bolts , when you take the top clamp part I don’t know the actual name you will see like a metal nipple. That limits how far away you want to go, I chiseled it out and I have no issue adjusting the handlebars to my desire position … I am also 6’4 so I need more than what Harley considered safe lol I hope this info helps. Happy riding , stay safe
Yes….. it was a NIGHTMARE!!!!! I was soooooo frustrated! It’s stupid simple that turned into stupid difficult! 😞 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬😡😡😡 Thanks for the help understanding the nipple! I’m 5’4” so I wanted to bring the bars slightly closer. I’m OBSESSED with this bike! I handle her with no issues! But frustrating that there are not many parts to customize…
See if this helps. They sell this at Harley dealership for now www.harley-davidson.com/us/en/shop/reach-seat/p/52000638 Might make the fit for you even better
where did you get the hand guards at sir
Absolutely sir. I have metal hand guards , I highly recommend plastic if you are in a state that gets super cold. 20-45 degrees. Plastic a.co/d/0yq8EuR Metal a.co/d/4HE6IHf I suggest to ensure that the clamp is elongated , for some reason I can find a pair that are both the same size. If you look closely to the picture the clamps are different sizes. One is half the size of the other knuckle guard. I had to buy twice the same product so I can get 2 of the long clamp …
i put S&S mk45 exhaust with slanted end cap looks and sounds great
S&s never falls short. The Mk 4.5 look slick. Drive safe
Bike looks great! Is the rack you have from Harley or Hogworkz?
Thank you sir. I have attached the link below a.co/d/8XQPcUr
Thank you! I just ordered the rack and docking station.

OK - so aftermarket seats don't fit I noticed on Saddlemen web site they have an asterisk which states "won't fit 2023 CVO models" so if this is the same frame style as the 23 CVO then their seats will NOT fit ... (I sent an email off to Saddlemen making the inquiry)
Sweet thank you for that info !! Some individuals will grind down slightly the front clamp or the actual seat front clamp and make certain modifications to make it fit. I prefer waiting for the right size adjustment from the seat manufactures
I think so far… Corbin seats have for the new models
@@HDMisfit1 yeah - they just sent me official notification that they DO NOT FIT and that the new seats will be out in 2-3 weeks 👍🏻
Sweet !! I cannot wait to see it
Will tabs slip one work for the 2024
Yes, all slip ons exhaust from 2016-2023 will fit the 2024 road glide. I didn’t want to debaffled my 2024 stock pipes. So I just installed my debaffled 2021 road slide special pipes. And they fit exactly the same
Great share. Also tall, 6.3.. they put a HD Tallboy seat on that moved me up but not back (long legs)..not much difference from stock seat. You mentioned daddy long leg seat? Is that what you went with? What would you suggest? Also, wanted to angle handle bars (forward) a half inch or so. How do we do that? Have you thought about upgrade to speakers. I hear they sound lame (although) I haven"t listened to yet. Thanks in adavnce. I got the white one.
Hello ! Great choice, the white road glide looks very good i had a hard choice choosing between that color, black and the sharkskin,.... Yes. Le pera makes high quilaity seats, they have a category called Daddy long legs (pushes you back 2 inches. here is the link www.lepera.com/v4_Touring_Models_result.php , depending on the style stitching, I was a fan of the Maverick under the style if is mentioned daddy long legs is made for tall riders. Handle bars, undo the 4 Allen bolts, the top bracket holding the handlebar has a nipple, rip that of and now you have unlimited adjustability. Dominator make amazing quality handlebars as well , if you don’t wish to alter your oem/stock handlebars www.dominatorcycles.com/?gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIi-zC9I-chAMVkgeHAx0RrADPEAAYASAAEgL-_vD_BwE The speakers definitely need a update i will do eventually the Rockfords stage 2 they go around $1,200 with speakers and amp www.harley-davidson.com/us/en/shop/harley-davidson-audio-powered-by-rockford-fosgate-stage-ii-fairing-speakers/p/76001298 , I went and tune them with EQ custom option in the speakers setting, and lowered the bass all the pre tuned are very heavy on bass and reduces the quality of the music has the louder you go.
@@HDMisfit1 thanks brother. Returning tallboy seat and putting on Reinharts today. Will run stock seat until i get the daddy long legs in. Will run stock audio for now...the stage 2 was quoted the same. They explained, that"s the way to go vs swapping (only) out speakers (quoted $399).
You are welcome ! The Reinhart exhaust are going to sound amazing … very good exhaust manufacturers, excellent company. Le pera seats are in the works for a seat for a new models it gonna be worth the wait. Thanks for the info on the speakers very good info. I was not aware of that. Drive safe !

How’s the wind buffeting on the new bike?
No different than the older models, Klock Werks or Memphis shade will do the trick.. I know they are working on a new flare windshield since the dimensions and style has changed
@@HDMisfit1 Klock Werks will have shields out @ the Daytona Bike week so I'm assuming they will be available to web site purchase that came from the owners mouth

Being new gas tank design, same seats won't fit.
Not true, seats fit perfectly.
I can speak at least for Le Perra Maverick daddy long legs. if you still make customization it will still look funky and out of place. I highly recommend bringing your seat to H-D dealership and talking to the sale floor rep to let you try and see if it fits. They should have no problems.
@@freebehindbars8654 to be fair thats why I mentioned about Le Perra maverick 'daddy long legs'...i had no luck, i had that seat on my older model... maybe other brands will fit with no issues

Custom emblems on the market won’t fit the new gas tank either… just an fyi…. 🙄
Brand new 117 maybe they’re finally faster than my 09 Raider😂
Whatever the rider considers fast. I think this new redesign 117 is pretty much a good power to weight ratio. The sport mode wakes the engine up, and the sensitivity on the throttle is day and night difference. I like how it sounds , I like how it feels I am pretty satisfied with the new 2024 I would highly suggest you going to your nearest Harley Davidson dealership and ask for a test ride :)
so then that would mean if i trade my 21 ultra in i can put my exhuast and legend rear suspension on the new model and will work
Absolutely, I see no issues with that. Although there some slight change on the seat. If the opportunity presents I will try out seat before purchasing them. Also, after market rims might need some modifications I don’t have full information on specs. But it includes different brake disks and spacer.
im debating on trading mine in for 24 road glide or a 24 low rider st they have with trask turbo making 160hp and 150trq@@HDMisfit1
Trask is making amazing bolt on turbo kits. They sound amazing also with the right running they will make that Harley extremely fast ..
Same frame, so if it bolts to the frame, no problem.
Not necessarily, I tried switching my prodigy wheels which are the stock 2021 road glide special rims , you wouldn’t tell by looking at it but it has a slight redesigned where the abs sensor and front disk sit and also the front disk are slightly bigger. So I couldn’t switch them. Also , I don’t have a video but it is confirmed that the older models with extended saddle bags do fit the new 2024 road glide.
ABS wheels have a thinner bearing on the sensor side, as far as the rotors go, you can probably just switch them out, check the bolt pattern, the new bikes don’t have the floating rotors anymore
@@HDMisfit1 Sounds like a spacer issue. Most wheels with the same sized bearing will work, with the correct spacer.
😮 thanks for the info! I’ll definitely have to look more into it. I am not a fan of the standard 2024 rims, they will go asap
