As a contractor the economy is terrible. People are just spending money because they don’t care about debt and sooner or later 2005-2015 is going to happen again. 9% intrest and $400000 house just doesn’t work. Especially when groceries are $400-600 per week for a family of 4-6. I make it because God; and I can work longer and harder if I choose or have to. At 40 and self employed I should be able to have and own any thing within reason but not with a $1 being worth about $0.20. and my tax burden being double what it was before Covid.

I'm just 1 dude and I've spent $200 dollars on groceries. My cart wasn't even full. This economy sucks

Having to work two jobs so I can support my dad and have my own place. I get maybe four hours sleep on a normal day and only one day off which I used to catch up on sleep and chores and by the time that’s done it’s time for me to go back to sleep again I have no life beyond work and probably drink too much, on the little bit of time I do have after my second job at a restaurant because I get a shift drink. Had to move my dad to Florida because his house got foreclosed on because he could afford it anymore and there’s nothing that was protecting him. my roommate who is doing the same thing and works the same two jobs I do is having to support her mother and other family members on top of having to plan on supporting her place by herself when I move out. When Trump was in office, I worked one job had two cars and had a little money in the bank.. this country has gone to hell since he has been in charge. He is not a president. He’s only a puppet for idiots.

Where do I start. For the first time ever I have to pay extra on my income taxes, I have to work an entire day just to have gas to get to work each week. I’ve learned to grow a garden cause the grocery store it’s more expensive, but I find the things in life that make me smile.
