I'd like to talk about the Kaeya x Diluc ship. Lots of genshin fans hate this ship and the people who ship these two because they're "brothers". According to many, they're brothers just because Kaeya was adopted by the Diluca family. The truth is Kaeya and Diluc are actually sworn brothers. There are many translation errors in the game and in the original comic book (not only about Kaeya and Diluc's situation, but even for regular dialogue). This is evidenced by the real original Chinese texts and Chinese players who repeatedly pointed out errors mainly in the game. The problem is that many players cannot accept the fact that the game was made by Chinese and the sworn brothers relationship that Kaeya and Diluc have is part of Chinese culture. American and European fans view Kaeya and Diluc from the perspective of their culture where there is no such thing as sworn brothers. According to them, Kaeya is adopted. But even that is not shown in the original plot. It pisses me off that people also don't see the difference between step siblings and adoptive siblings. In the past, the term sworn brothers (or sworn sisters) was not only a platonic, friendly relationship, but also a cover for two guys who were romantically together. This is also a certain censorship in many Chinese BL dramas these days. We don't know if Kaeya and Diluc are (or rather were, because their relationship has changed after their fight) sworn brothers in a romantic style, but they are for sure sworn brothers. Since the Chinese know the true story of these two, they normally ship them. Even the original artists who draw official drawings for Mihoyo ship these two!! People don't have to like or ship this ship, but people shouldn't hate it because of this and the people who ship it. They are ignorant people who refuse to accept facts and ignore Chinese culture. [SNK SPOILER BELOW] Plus, don't you feel how hypocritical this is all? A similar situation is in the anime Shingeki no Kyojin, where Mikasa is in love with Eren (after which we learn that Eren loved her too). Eren's family never officially adopted Mikasa, she just lived with them because she lost her entire family. Eren's mom and dad never referred to her as their daughter. Even if Kaeya was adopted by Diluc's father, they are still not connected by blood, so they can be legally shipped. Kaeya never said that Diluca's father was his father too. Then people say anyway: Okay, but they hate each other! And then I think to myself - man, people really don't know their relationship. Diluc got a huge trauma which made him unable to open up to anyone anymore and he doesn't want to go back to the old days, but nevertheless allows Kaeya to hang out in his winery. In Kaeya's case, Kaeya wants to go back to the old days, and it irritates him that Diluc doesn't open up to him the way he used to. For this reason, he constantly teases him, so Diluc would give him attention. In addition, there have been many moments that show Kaeya is still worried about Diluc. It was he who gave him a vase to the house in which there was a vision of Diluc and Diluc did not throw the vase away - it still sits in his house. There was also a moment in the game when Kaeya was sincerely glad that Diluc had a friend (Traveler) with him. Their relationship is very sweet, they don't like each other, but they secretly continue to care about each other. In short, it's sad that kaeluc shippers are so hated. And many people who draw great drawings with these two get hate, too. What do you think about this all? Btw, many examples of translation errors are on twitter, but I don't have a way to find them all now, so sorry :(( I think Mihoyo should do some more translation work. There're also major translation errors from Chinese to English in the original comic.
