Kelderman Dual Steering Stabilizer Install On A Ford Superduty
After our journey to California, the F350 developed the dreaded death wobble. Upon returning home, we had Ford replace the faulty parts, and then we installed a Kellerman dual steering stabilizer. Click the link below for more information.

Purchasing A Used Truck Camper
มุมมอง 20K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Hello and welcome to our new channel. Join us as we go on a journey to purchase a new to us truck camper. Thanks for watching! The adventure begins...
How thick of a platform did you have to build?
Nice set up!. I'm looking into the KINGSTAR truck camper, when I'm ready to do the road life. 😊
Love this video as I’m about to receive a 2024 F450 and an AF1150. Indeed, loading the camper without removing the tailgate is a plus, but since you do it, have you ever experienced any issue with the tailgate because of vibrations or bumping onto the bottom of the camper when driving on rough roads, and getting damaged one way or another? Thanks for replying, Ollivier
Loading and unloading is the only time I'm jealous of people with automatic transmissions.
I don’t think the tailgate cables would be over taxed.
You save a log of problems by not removing the tailgate. I leave my camper on all the time, if my truck bed was 4 inches longer I could leave the tailgate on, and it would close. On the 2024 Chevrolet 2500hd I not only had to relocate my tailgate camera, but had to get a tailgate harness to plug in the truck tailgate connection, to keep the blind side/rear cross traffic working. The days of the simple tailgate are gone! 🙄
Cory and Karen (I'm guessing on the spelling so forgive me if I have it wrong). Thank you for the videos, There is some good info here and I am really enjoying watching. Wifey and I just finished the Pikes Peak video and got quite a kick out of it. I am a newcomer to your channel. I came across it while searching for info on the Arctic Fox 1150 on an F350 dually. I have a 2019 F350 dually very similar to yours and I am dying to get a truck camper. I have installed the Torklift frame mounted tie downs, air bags, sway bar upgrade and torque lift stable loads. I am really liking the AF1150 and thinking about going with it. I have watched your video on the 1150 tour and Setup 3 or 4 times now and really like the setup. also considering a AF990 but I am concerned as it seems to be lacking in exterior storage. So here is my question: Now that you have had the 1150 for a while how do you feel about having that beast on the F350? Is it stable and does it feel safe? I'd love to hear your comments. Thank you Jim
You hit the nail on the head with this video....removing the tailgate is one of the worst things about having a truck camper...since you've been leaving the tailgate on have you had any damage at all? Have you looked at other campers whereby you could do the same thing?
My girlfriend and I absolutely loved y’all’s Video. Great info and we are planning on making a trip.
Please, reposition the camera or stop looking at it! If you are driving 60 mph; you are doing 88 feet per second.
Great video. This is my dream setup. Can you provide a link to the motorcycle carrier you are using? Thanks.
Lost me with truck bed camera. I am leaning towards a concrete pad and paint lines that I have to line the truck up on before dropping the camper so I know to line it up on the lines before backing under the camper.
Thank you for posting as I prepare to retire and make my Truck camper purchase. Safe Travels.
Fantastic tip with the tailgate and green tape!!!
I would be worried about the step in the bathroom. I could see myself twisting an ankle. I like the high ceilings for sure since I'm tall 6'2. I have been looking a truck campers it's hard to pick just like picking an RV. Enjoy and safe travels thank you for sharing.
You get comfortable with the step pretty quickly.
Really nice 👌 I've never seen a AF that size with a wet bath. We were torn between getting the AF 1150 and rhe lance 975. Ended up with a 2021 lance 975 .
Just got mine today!!
They feel so good in the steering wheel!!
Loved the video! Glad you like your ratchet!
Dang I was happy to see this video hoping never to remove my tailgate... unfortunately my 2006 host tahoe 10.5 is not long enough to clear the tailgate maybe 5 or 6 inches from the holding tank... Thanks thou!
Its so nice to be able to leave it on!
Whats your maxed out weight, great video
Loaded to camp with a motorcycle on the front hitch I'm running about 14,500lbs.
iirc that Ram was likely 3.46 vs 4.10 in your Ford. The solution? Slow down. I cruise control at 65 with my F450 and 4.30 gears to keep the RPM down and tons of power with decent mileage.
That's true. The ford has 410s. I try to keep it at 70.
Be careful.
It wasn't bad at all.
Good to see you guys back..
What part of Westwego is that? 🤣
😅
A little different kind of topography than back home, lol. Beautiful video, love the content. That's the first I've heard of No Generators, boo. If the campsites are so spread out I'm wondering why no generators? Although I'd probably come in the cool months anyways because I don't like rattlesnakes 😮. Thanks for filming 👍
I was wondering the same about generators. But they are prohibited. We sure didn't need it . It was cold.
That's quite the rig 👍🏼 I'm looking for something similar in '24 ... The open road is calling my name and since I just quit the crappy ole job I've got time to travel. I'll put a pin on the map at Big Bend PC2 and enjoy the views while sipping on Margaritas 👊🏻 🌵 Thanks for sharing the video, very nicely done !!
Thank you! We love the set up. Unfortunately we were only out for about 10 daus because we can't retire yet. Lol. Pine canyon was beautiful!!
@@thestorytellerstravels3249 Hoping to make it to the Southwest at the end of the year ... Nice not having to worry about work on Monday morning ... 🤣
This camper is 1 in a million! Can't hardly find a 1150 wet bath, let alone with a roll over bed. Nice set up.
Thanks, we just did 4500 miles in 10 days with it and it worked out perfect!!
@thestorytellerstravels3249 I'm trying to find the same setup but it doesn't exsist. New or used.
I bought ours used. Found it in Round Rock Tx
I stumbled upon a 2023 1150, dry bath, rollover lounge, all optioned out that had been custom ordered, whoever ordered it ghosted the dealer after it arrived, dealer offered it to me and it was a no Brainer! The rollover lounge really changes the living space inside for the better!
@@dmac5497 I agree!
Love your bedding! Can you share where you found it? Y'all did a great walk thru of the 1150 and we really like that setup too, with the longer couch vs the dinette! Someday!
It's just stiff from family dollar.
I don't have a truck camper. I don't even have a truck! But I enjoyed watching someone doing this as I've always wondered how one might do it. Thanks for the video!
Very comfortable and cozy. I have a 2022 Lance 1172 carry it on my gmc 3500. Truck carry’s it fine I put a set of 5000 lb airbags on it. I agree about sitting at the dinette. It’s not that comfortable after a while. I like the rear sofa.
How does your truck handle the camper? I have a 2020 F450 and was looking at similar campers.
It's heavy and you can feel it, but it's fine to drive one handed at 75.
@@thestorytellerstravels3249 Thanks for the info, safe travels
Ayee much love from St.Martin parish. Can definitely relate to the scarcity of these. Just went up past Little Rock to go pick up an old coachmen. Thanks for the cool vid! Safe travels to y’all.
Thanks!
That's a nice, well thought out set up you have. Having the little dual sport bike is a great addition.
Thanks, I do like the little bike!
That tape line is SO CLEVER
Thanks!
Do you keep the fridge running while driving? Does it use a lot of electricity or propane?
I do keep it running on the road. It doesnt use a lot of propane. It can run for a lomng time.
Thanks for the video!!
We had great time got spot BL 19 right on lake. Was great time kids movie Friday night scavenger hunt Saturday band Saturday night deer everywhere. We going back in two weeks taking our employees an there family one in glam tent other in cabin so I let you know how they are an renting a golf cart is almost a must or bikes
You make it look so easy!
It is now!
Happy birthday...
Thanks!
Does your tailgate get beat up from rocks!
No it doesn't. We have Mud flaps.
My dream set up!
Mine too lol!!
Great video !
Thanks!
We got or trailer Saturday an headed here Thursday so I let you know how it goes 👍
Beautiful camper, I just amagin this must of cost $100. Thousand or better, looking for a 990 myself.
I bought it For $35k
Great review!
Love your down to earth videos, keep it coming
Awesome! I love it! Just an FYI... My truck camper has an awning over our slide.
Thanks!
Great video guys but you BET that thing is heavy. I have a 2022 Dodge Dually quad cab diesel. Honesty I'm not sure I could carry that rig safely. We're looking at a Lance 975 but Arctic Fox builds a real nice camper. Good for you guys. Let us know how it is in cold weather please. Important to know. ok!
Its actually really stable on my 350. Looking forward to some cold weather camping!
You can easily haul it. I haul it and a large three horse steel trailer all over the mountains.
We also have the 1150 with the awning on the business side. It actually works out pretty good. When we camp with friends we can have that side to the middle. When it’s just the 2 of us we just use the back.
I figured that's how I'll use it too.
What state is this in?
