Thanks for watching, it is definitely worth a visit us you ever get the chance.
Hi im in the keys next year September , im a UK blacksmith taught knife making for 10 years you can pick my brains in return for some advice about fishing lol PS you should have peened that hot you have introduced a lot of stress in to the blade doing cold luckily you heat treated it after but its still risky they can snap during heating up.
Thank you so much for the info. I didn’t realize that and I had pondered doing it hot. Unfortunately we no longer live in Florida we relocated to the Ozark mountains in Missouri, if you can’t this way I could tell you about fishing in this area lol. I will still take any help I can get.
I love when you find good stuff at yard sales and I look forward to seeing that handle.
Thanks for watching, I'll post the handle video soon!

Here is your bevel jig vid....I like the simplicity...gonna copy it. thank you.
You are welcome, thanks for watching
Gong thru your vids...After having this forge for several months...would you recomend this little forge? thanks
I’m pet impressed with this little thing and for under 100 bucks you can’t go wrong
you might want to pause the background music when you talk and explain, but nice jig and nice touch with the cat :)
@@toft-fafo I will do that in the future, once a video is uploaded it’s difficult if not impossible to edit it. Thanks
Just found your channel...would love to see a step-by-step process on making that bevel jig...tired of hand filing

@@run4st717 if I don’t have a video of it I got it from simple little life’s channel he’s an awesome blade smith
You're an inspiration, music was fine IMHO, i want to make a jig now and give it a try. I freehand my bevels on a 2x72. I need to make table rest first though 😅. Fine work. It's always frustrating when your grinds don't quite match up.
Thanks for the kind words, and good luck on your jig build!
Background Music RUINS your video.... Sad because I really wanted to see the video 😢
Thanks for your input
Beautiful pen, I love that wood ❤
Thank you! Cheers!

It turned out good! If you decide to make more and you have some nail polish around you can paint the background and it can change up the look and how the stones pop as well :-)

unfortunately those mummies are no longer there they were destroyed by some crazy person who just wanted to start a fire see a video of serenity sue
I'm very saddened to read about that today. We've had these mummified bodies for hundreds of years and only recently have people had the idea to mess with them. Very sad as this was an important part of our shared history
That is so sad. Heartbreaking, I hope they caught those responsible.
@@essenceofthekeys2673 yes there is a arrest....A part-time security guard has been accused of criminal damage after a fire destroyed "priceless" and "irreplaceable" ancient mummies in the crypt at St Michan's Church in Dublin. Christian Topiter, 38, was held in prison custody on remand pending approval of a person to stand his bail and needs €4,000 lodged in court before he can be released.
Oh my gosh, that's horrible!
Hopefully no one will pay his bail
Great job thx for sharing Keep building

You seem like a nice couple. Hello from Belfast.
Thank you and hello from the Ozark mountains in Missouri. We really enjoyed our time in Belfast and hope to return again and explore more of the beautiful city.
Yes its a lovely place but wont be for much longer if they keep letting the dingy divers in
It’s the same story everywhere you go
Very pretty pens, I’m sure they loved them.
Thanks
Nice!
Thanks
It's easy. Come in on a boat unwelcome and undocumented! Sorted.
lol
Not a bad finish considering the breakage - I would have turned that off and put a new piece on, but I appreciate you wanted to finish the filming. Couple of points. Do you use CA accelerator? Usually those white marks in the repair are caused when CA has too much accelerator added and hardens too quick. If repairing fine areas better to use the really thin CA which will dry quicker and wait for it to go off. Also no need to use Yorkshire Grit Original if using micromesh. Yorkshire Grit Original is approx. equivalent to 1000 grit - so it's effectively going back up in grit size after 1500 micromesh. When I do my pens I use the medium and microfine Yorkshire grit and only have to sand to around 600 grit, then use the pastes and get a great shine. If using the micromesh just go straight to the microfine, which is approx. 2000 grit.
Thanks for the advice, I knew the blushing was from the accelerator but I couldn’t find my thin when I was doing this. That will save me on my micro mesh as well. I had thought about turning the wood off down to the tube but I didn’t have any of the Katalox left that was big enough. I got a new piece the other day and I’m going to try another one.
We need a pact you can live here🇮🇪 we can live there 🇺🇸
You are more than welcome here… I wish there were a way for me to relocate there but my family is one generation too far removed for me to get citizenship by decent unless my dad did it first and he to elderly to be able to do it
