It does makes for Luffy and Nami to end up together. I've seen a lot of reasons to believe that if there's any man that is closest to her other than her father-figure Genzo, it would have to be Luffy. You better believe that Luffy is a man of his word when he promised in front of her adopted family back in Cocoyashi Village that Nami is in good hands and that he will take care of her & protect her smile.

There's a several reasons on why I see Nami and Luffy being a Pirate Queen and King and why they are meant to be. 1) Nami was a hater of Pirates, until he met Luffy. The very person who made her see every pirates differently. If you watch the Orange Town Arc, you can see how Luffy freed the town from the clutches of Buggy the Clown Pirate. Then comes the Syrup Village, where he rid the town of the Black Cat Pirates, she was moved by Luffy's humanity despite his daredevil approach in things, idiocy and well insatiable appetite for food. 2) Before Luffy defeats Arlong, he puts his Straw Hat on her head, which bring us back to how Shanks put it on Luffy's head. Nami fully know that it is his most valued treasure, and for him to entrust it to her, could mean more than " I trust you and I truly care for you. Don't worry, everything will be alright." It's almost like Shanks crowns him like he is gonna be a king someday, and that it might be just be his implicit way of telling her that she's gonna be his queen someday 3) The way that Luffy always gets beaten up by Nami tells me that these two have something in between. She scolds him like he is her idiot husband😂. Seems like that violence is part of their relationship despite being close to each other. She seems to be Luffy's weakness, base on their interactions, but also he is someone she feels more attached to. 4) Nami showed to us already that she truly cares for Luffy. She doesnt want Luffy to get into that he won't be able to get out alive. She knew that Luffy was devastated when he lost Ace and vowed to get stronger as soon as she can so she can go back and be there for him. Nami knew how hurt was Luffy of Sanji's betrayal, and that how he would wait for him to come back to the crew. He knew better than to hit Sanji back in front of Nami, because he might be aware that Nami was affected when Luffy beats up Usopp for challenging him to a fight for the rights to Merry and then attempting to leave the crew for good. He only hit him when she wasn't there to witness it, although for the reason of slapping some sense to him so he would actually go back to the crew. She ran into him, hugged him and apologized for not getting him back for Luffy. That she slapped him for what he did to Luffy. She won't mind carrying Luffy if he's in poor condition and is the very person to fix Luffy's hat if it gets damaged. 3) Luffy going out of his way to help and care for Nami. He didn't hesitate to help her when she asked him to when Arlong broke his promise by selling out Nami's hidden savings to the Navy, and that he only has a hatred for him when he made Nami cry. He made a promise to Genzo and in front of Bellmere that he will keep her happy and safe. When it comes to food, he makes an exemption for her when she really is need of care. He carrie d Nami up to the mountain so that she can get treated from her sickness, even touched Chopper's heart as they made their way up to a castle where the doctors reside. 4) Luffy and Nami are both unperverted and emotional. Luffy knows if Nami is troubled and Nami can't lie about Luffy being the future pirate king because he is one the few people that supports her dream of drawing a map of the world, even at the verge of death. Compliments both flatters and pleases them, and one more thing is they have addiction at something. 5) Nami might have feelings for Luffy. When Sanji heard the message, he thought it sounded like a love letter. Which would have implied that he would be fine with Nami and Luffy being in love. And Nami stating it was rather embarrassing is rather cute. Luffy winning the hearts of famous women: Princess Vivi of Alabasta, Princess Shirahoshi of the Sea, Empress Boa Hancock of Amazon Lily, Princess Rebecca and Viola of Dressrosa, Kiku of Akazaya 9 and was friend to Shank's daughter and the famous singer Uta. Heck, he even got Robin in crew. Of course, she would realized by now that Luffy has his father's charisma, that's why he is able to win over people. But still a handful of powerful women, dont you think she would have gotten jealous already? Man even got Sanji's sister Reiju to kiss him just take out the poison from Luffy and Nami feeding Luffy is something, right? 6) The pictures of course. Nami being crowned and Luffy being crowned would tell you something. She wore Luffy's hat a couple times, and if does keep going, I would believe he is telling us that Nami is to be his pirate queen someday. 7) Their opposites that compliment each other. Luffy is Devil Fruit user ,while Nami is not. Luffy has a black hair , while Nami is an orange-haired lady. Luffy is seems to be a death defying guy, while Nami tends to avoid risky situations.

The episode “romance dawn” is literally exclusively about a different version of luffy meeting a different version of nami, saving her from another group of pirates. I think that’s the best evidence you can have, though I also think it’s pretty weak/tenuous. I am convinced that, Hancock being how she is, is likely to get him in some form of arrangement reminiscent of marriage, if not actual marriage, though he won’t care, because on the current evidence he is asexual, despite the many points where he, cares deeply about retaining his anatomy claiming he would die without it, has sympathetic(?) nosebleeds around naked women, carries women like one would a bride, and more. I am willing to accept that nami might have something deeper for him, however.

Luffy is a 90s anime protagonist.With black hair.And Nami is a ginger.That's all i am going to say.If anything , i believe Gear 5 was also a way for Oda to reminisce the old times of One Piece where instead of 80% action , 10% comedy and 10% mysteries , was just 50% action and 50% comedy.

Usopp holding Luffy's hat was just because he couldn't bring any of his clothes to the fight with Foxy, and Usopp was his coach, so he didn't have any other option. Nami is the only person he entrusted his hat on his own will and multiple times. All the others that wear the hat like Robin, took the hat from him in some way or found it like Vivi. Even not dressing the hat the amount of times he gave it to someone else to hold it other than Nami is super rare and lots are non-canon. And she is the only one that fixed or modified it until now.
