I just need a lot more practice. Scott has always dug the targets so we can get them on camera. It definitely would be easier for me to use a small shovel and pinpointer for the shallow targets. I’ll have to give it a try. Thanks!

Hie Elaine, Terri has used the Minelabs Vanquish 540 since we started this channel. Before that, with her dad, she had hands on the Whites, Garretts and Bounty Hunters... Thought about getting her into a Manticore or DEUS II, but she does rather well with the Vanquish - finds a fair amount of gold with it! We also own an Equinox 600 which she could use. XTerra we haven't used on the channel. It kinda fits between the Vanquish and Equinox (IMHO). It's a good machine, just not one we've had. Thanks for the comment! Cheers.

Ha, nasty yes, but not harmful. Thanks for the comment! The foam here on the East Coast does contain sediment brought up from the Hurricane that just went through, but it's not like the West Gulf Coast which is having red tides - bad algae in their waters. However, we do shower down after each trip out - just in case! Cheers!

Hey Brett! Kinda depends upon the gold composition, but the 10K ring found stayed pretty sold at 50 on the DEUS II... I was using Program 13, Beach P from the v2.0 firmware. We've seen different gold compositions all over the target ID range from 35 to 90! Thanks for the msg!

Ha, right! So much for surf's up! This was a kind-of-a soaps up day out there! Golds always hard to find, but it and other jewelry items are starting to pop up now that the sand is cut back down a bit. Those good rings tend to be deep!

@@manekvikram39 Hi Manek! Hard question to answer! Both are excellent in their class. The Minelab Vanquish 540 is entry to intermediate but finds as much treasures that the more advanced detectors can find. Only the coil is waterproof, however. For basic turn-it-on and go most anywhere, it's excellent and only costs $300 (U.S.) on Amazon right now! amzn.to/3O4qz5N It can bluetooth to any Bluetooth headphones, but has wired included headphones that can be used. Has rechargeable batteries that last a long time. Can add custom settings as well. Gives good target IDs, object type and depth information. Have found really deep items with it. The XP DEUS II is one of the top detectors out there. It's 100% waterproof, can go diving with it and for intermediate to advanced users. However even beginners can turn it on and use the stock programs. But it's $1,450 (U.S). It's a bit lighter and has a lot of advanced features not found on other detectors. The DEUS II is wireless and can easily connect to different coils, the MI-6 Pin Pointer (shows on the remotes screen), the Go Terrain App, a variety of different wireless headsets and more. Internal rechargeable batteries in the coil, remote and headphones. Last a very long time. Gives good target information, type, depth, etc. Really good at finding small items-and deep. amzn.to/4erUIXk Either would be a great choice depending upon how much detecting you do. If a lot of detecting and want to get really advanced results then the DEUS II. If just occasional detecting then the Vanquish 540 is an excellent choice. It has found a lot of gold and silver!
