Neither of my parents came to mine. They were gardening that day.

When I was a kid my mom made the joke she wouldn’t let me get married till I was 40. As it turns out she may have cursed me, I’ll be 40 next year and I haven’t had a GF last more than 3 months. Also, my mom died last year so I guess in cursing me she also cursed herself to not attend my wedding if I ever find someone willing to put up with me. 😅

A show so well written that when they finally make everyone fine with Ted and Robin not being together. Then they brain fart and give us the ending we got, because Jason wanted to leave the show. I would have been better off with them doing something different with Marshall’s character to be honest if it meant getting a better series finale that happened more organically.

This show was incredibly stupid

I will always hate this show for its ending. Broke me. And robin? Really?.

Never watched the show, I’m guessing Mom is terminally ill & nobody told her?

It was at this point that we all knew what was gonna happen.

My wife is the absolute sweetest creature I've ever known she has a heart of gold the only reason her life is hard is because everyone around her is mean and cruel she just doesn't know how to become that person her mother hates her she is taking one of her kids mind you we are pot smokers but we both have very damaged childhoods but at the time she was young she won't allow her to have her daughter back her daughter is 14 years old and my wife's mother is 80 something it's so sad I will never stop defending her I have a child with her and I can attest that she is a absolute Gem of a mother I'm so thankful for her and the love that she gives to me and my son for the things that she's taught me about being a parent even about being a man I say all this to say let's not forget our women got to love our women. Parents suck if they haven't handled their inner demons before they have kids and they pass it on

I loved this show. I just wish the end didn’t have him going back to Robin. It made it seem like Robin was the end game all along. If it had ended with the kids letting him know it was ok for him to move on and left it there then it would have been perfect. It would have honored his relationship with Tracy.

Worst ending..the mother should've lived

I love the ending, personally. It was reasonable. Problem was that it needed AT LEAST another full season so it doesn't feel so rushed and forced!

After 1657 girls he found a perfect girl and she died. Not surprised.

I love this actor who plays Ted so much in moments like this, gosh... So subtle and good

The biggest pitfall of all was finding a "mother" the audience would reject. Defying all odds, they found one the audience loved...and then flushed her down the toilet to crap on Barney's happy ending.

Too bad they made this wonderful character, just to kill her off and shove Robin into our face

People that enjoy this also think friends was well written 😂

I can watch this series over and over again😅 littery on my 20th time rewatching

Okay because of this scene I was unsure if this was just a moment where Ted was imagining this encounter because the mom had already passed away or if he was tearing up as he told his children because he remembered what she said.

Then they get married

I wasn’t even mad about Ted and robin or the amount of scenes we got with the mother although I do wish more I just hated how they made Barney’s whole character arc kinda pointless
