I'm a well know windsurfer that is know as Boombuster.
With caravaning getting very popular our videos will help other water sports people find places to enjoy while traveling.
Please enjoy our videos we have just invested in a better camera and with my wife Sue filming I hope to entertain.

Axis Blast 85 and 95L board review Wingfoiling
Been foiling on our new boards now 3 time and finding the boards a joy to ride, This is the smallest wingfoil board ive ever owned I thought a 95L would be the smallest board I would ever use but turns out the 85L is fine due to the slim shape and light weight. I will keep the Froth for shallow choppy water but who knows it might be sold one day. The Froth is still a great board being such a solid construction and easy to ride as well. .

Wellington Point Qld first run on my new board Axis Blast 85L 5'4'' Wingfoiling Windfoiling
มุมมอง 39314 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
After years of saying I don't need a smaller board I got one and found it very easy to get up and fly due to it only being 5.5kgs and 22cm wide it got going easier than my larger 95L Froth and it didn't seem to sink too much while on my knees. I usually judge when I can get on by when the water is up to my chest so with the smaller board it was about the same. I just have to get use to being on...

Wellington Point Qld Wingfoiling in less than 10kt Old mate was using a wing anchor
มุมมอง 587วันที่ผ่านมา
Got down to find about 10kts so rigged quick and got out. Got one run then the wind died to about 5kts but after about a hour wait the wind came back just enough to get foiling. The Euro bloke in the video had a wing anchor I was amazed how it held the wing in one spot every time he dropped it.

1:36 This doesn't make any sense. Each one of those boards are completely different from each other. The 5'1" x 19" is narrow and slim while the 5'7" x 25" is big and choppy. The 5'1" is probably easier to use despite the low volume.
Depends on your weight I guess, Rob and I have bought the sizes to suit our weights but he did have a go of my 85L and found it easy to get up on and foiling and he says he could have just got the 85L. I havent seen the other sizes so I can't say if the big one is choppy looking
Nice one. Good effort at a review. Interesting that the smaller one goes easier sometimes. Might help people make right decision on which to get.
@@JimsWindsurfing thanks DAVE
Nice gybe. What was the wind speed Simon?
If I remember it was around 10kts that day. Thanks Glynn
How funny! Andy has just bought himself a 5' 4" Axis Blast 85L. Hopefully we will see you and Sue in August 2025. Hopefully the wind will be strong enough for me to bring my Smik wings ovet
@@NatalieWilson-i7o that's great. I've been out again today on the 85L Blast in sub 10kts and at 87kgs I got it going easily. Andy will love it. Thanks
I was wondering if that was a new board... looks good! :)
Thanks for reviewing this axis board, there has been very little on youtube on this and I appreciate and respect your thoughts. Love your brilliant content. All the best from South Australia, Mick
@@MickEvansMev that's very encouraging to hear you think so much of our work. Rob and I are thinking of doing a full review on both the 85 and 95L Thanks Glynn
I liked the videos without voice over better. Too much and low quality. Maybe consider to go back?
I will consider that, it's a hard one, finding good background music so ive been trying the voice rather than type. Ive had some people say they like voice so it's a hard one.
Wowsers. Woops!
Cool footage. Commentary is good i reckon.
oh man... I missed a great session :(

Great tacks. You got this covered now. Merry Christmas to you from Germany. Christian
@@CB-nz4ih it has been hard learning to tack but heaps of practice has paid off. Thanks
I'm new to foiling it looks like you are riding on the east side of the point are you able to ride wello on a southerly ?
@@haydenrowlands9616 yes we ride the jetty side in south to SE wind. Your biggest problem will be tide on both sides of the point. We don't sail either side lower than .6 of I meter
Beautiful,peaceful,love it.
Shame no one rides duotone wings...
@@Netgazum we are using duotone unit and SLS wings. Some mates have duotone foils as well

Welcome home Sue and Glynn. We have thoroughly enjoyed watching your adventures. Hopefully we will get to your home area in Queensland mud August 2025. Regards Natalie and Andrew Wilson wingfoilers from Orewa, Akld NZ
@@NatalieWilson-i7o that would be great to have a visit. Glad you liked our videos. Thanks
Hello boombuster Thankyou for your post. I too am a windsurfer now converted to wingfoil. I can gybe really well but toe side tacking has sadly eluded me. I noticed that your successful tack are really balanced and gentle. What’s your three main point to a successful tack. Thanks for your insight.
I find for myself my biggest foil helps I used my Axis HPS 1050 78cm fuse speed 420 rear. I try and approach cross wind then down wind to build some glide speed then put the wing up then out in front holding it high and keep some heal pressure to start turning the board then I throw the wing over and let it roll over and hope I don't crash. I'm no expert it just take practice and you need to dedicate some sessions to tacking, flat water and some nice little gusts I find helps. Always keen to chat on FB messenger if you want
Thankyou. Will keep trying ! Happy foiling.
Awesome. So stoked to have spent some time with you guys here and see boomy get his speed fix.
