Jaguar Xtype Phone Holder And Welcome Lights Mod
So young it’s eighteen years old 😂
I used to make them nice to see there is still a few going
Going under gone
Gizmo 💩 designed by 🎃 heads. Manual over ride is my objective to delete or circumvent that electrical junk. Manual over ride is the 'final solution'.
Why don't you do something decent like change the timing chain this is for the mindless waste of time
Because the chain does not need changing perhaps ?
Same issue driving me crazy and like warm heater air
Yeah i still have my 2002 jag X type 3.0 and I replaced the lights but i think i want to convert to LED they look much better.
I own a 2.0 diesel X type with 36,000 miles on a 2007,great looking car and very underrated.I love my Jag.
i still have have 2002 jag x type still so classy
You're not bothered it's made from Russian crude? It's dirt cheap for a reason you realise?
It is cheap but its good quality oil ? never had an issue.
I would love a xjr with a switch to bypass the exhaust
did you drill rivets ? i have 05 the lower arm came with fixed reverts from factory just drilled them out on one side waiting for ball joint.. going to do the other as well👍
You work hard not smart😅
Bosch = German ( made in china) = rubbish
Thanks for this good tips 👍doing mine soon have the part my mount has a arrow on it... read up it points from front to back wing side 👍 the manual says to paint mark front stud before removal that's what i'm going to do to make sure the old one wasn't put in wrong as the bearing isn't there on mine hence why it needs changing need to put a big washer on before hand in case spring pops with bearing been gone
Did you have any problems with the CV after doing the work?
no all good.
You call that a mod that was hard work to watch
Hello, I hope you are enjoying your new jaaaaag, I remember that in the video of entering the radio without a code, your previous one did not enter with the key combination, but what you have to do is put it wrong 3 times, and it says waiting, You put it there and it works.
Hi m8 what do you think of this oil. I am thinking of giving it a try mannol 5w30 seems quite cheap
German brand, Its mass produced and not a well known brand but its a great product used it a few times, good quality oil.
@itsajaaaag does it make the engine more noisy? I've been told that the cheaper oils tends to make engine slightly more noisy. I drive a toyot avensis 2.0 diesel. I bought this car last year in October and have carried out 2 oil changes. The oil that I used had a toyota fuel economy label on it and cost me about £22.00 for five litres. Since the engine takes 6.3 litres I have to buy 2 containers. I don't think this toyota fuel economy oil is any better. The fully synthetic 5w30 from toyota is £50 for 5 litres. It's a 2013 reg car and to be honest I wouldn't really pay £100 for the engine oil. Nowadays I see this mannol in almost every small car parts shops as well on ebay etc. Where I live it is being sold for £16 for 5 litres. As I like to service my vehicle twice a year I think the price really suits me lol. There are few other videos on TH-cam where people have used mannol engine oil and they seem quite satisfied. Therefore I am going to give it a try next month and if it doesn't increase the engine noise it would amount to be declared good.
Got a question , would u say xtype is a good first car ??
El termostato del enfriador, mejor montarlo en la bomba fuera del coche. Cuesta bastante meterlo a presión. Yo lo hice con la mordaza de un tornillo de banco y dandole jabón a la junta tórica.
This video was a waste of time
That was great thanks for the info about acquiring the spares, cheers.
Nice car, nice condition. It's as nice as my 2006 2.1ltr . Lord Luxurious on youtube.
If you add an EGR blank, don't you get the engine light? Mine apparently has a bad EGR and it turned on.
Nope, no engine light experienced on either of the xtypes, both 2.0d
@@itsajaaaag Mine is 2.2, I don't know if it has anything to do with it, the error it tells me is that it has insufficient recirculation gas flow or something like that. That's why the question.😅
@@TiranosaurioRex you may need it mapping out or you may need the blank with the tiny hole to prevent the engine light.
@@itsajaaaag If you made a video about that that would be fantastic,😅 by the way that jaaaaag does shine 🤩
If you blank the EGR , and it’s then seen by the MOT Tester on the retest, surely he would fail it?
Brooo I used to whip I nice silver one v6 and I haven’t found a good video of the 3-4 shift sound or on the highway when you let off the gas mine used to rumble and on throttle the bitch sounded like a chainsaw 😂 or BROOO the start up jet engine fans before you hit the key are crazy loud loll
My brake fluid is as black as coal too , a job on the list . Watching from Spain 👍🏻
The age old problem of alighting the clutch ! 😒
I must check our jag , just waiting to get over Covid 😒
Had mine done 2 years ago.
Yes they all go no matter what, but on this one they aren't too bad, so worthwhile trying to protect them and future cost but eventually they will need doing.
I always thought you had to drop the subframe on these to do the clutch what did you have to remove to get the box were it is👍
You do the work yourself, the only thing i can do is change the filters lol
That's how i started. Don't doubt yourself.
The rebuild is always the best part 👍🏻
Let me say first of all that's a brave move tackling the clutch on your own! Well done it's a job to get more than 65 - 70K out of one, they tend to fall apart as your driving, I had the same issue at 70K. it's normally injectors and cam belt with new bottom pulley next. The turbo's go on quite well on them. Keep it going we Like the channel and of course X types. 👍
Nice X type you got there, i bought one from 2003 and it's a sweet car to drive. Even though it's done over 30000km it still lives.
How many miles does it got 300k plus?
If you're doing the flywheel, may as well change clutch. Save yourself the hassle.
Yup will be doing.
Watching with interest from Spain just in case mine goes ! You’re doing well saying you don’t have a lot of room there .
Don't blame you getting getting rid of the old, the new one looks Fab ✔✔💜💜😃😃
Thank you for your helpful videos! I always watch all of them. Can i ask you to formulate the problem once again?:) I am afraid i did not grasp fully what it is this time. Probably i will have to do the same on my jag...
I will put it in a new video and explain why you may need to do this.
How clean is that engine bay. Bloody hell.
Indeed its a great find, i will actually do a video on it. thanks for the comment and idea.
Trying to understand what you are showing here. What was that block? Was that a break in the weld? Can you please provide more information?
Ok if you look in the front arches either driver side or passenger side after removing the arch cover you will come accross a rubber bung, now that rubber is useless as it traps all the water and leaves, hence i removed it and you see all the crap and mud come out.
18" alloys are either Aruba , Valencia, Proteus or Melbourne. The standard Aruba's are quite fragile to potholes so go for the performance drop forged ones off the later cars. Can't help feeling what a nice car but needs the 2.2 in it with the 6spd box.
You don’t need the radio code it can be bypassed with the buttons on the front I’ve done it a few times can’t remember how but I’m sure it’s on TH-cam
I did try that but it failed to work, anyway i got the code.
Sold mine few months back, got 500. Was like wtf. But I couldn't justify the amount I was spending on it. 😢
Depends if you are capable of doing the work yourself, if not then i understand. I've spent about £2k in 6 years of ownership, i'll take that over depreciation of a newer car.
Congratulations! A beautiful car. Maybe you will build a garage for this beauty?:)
I hope many videos of that beauty
Remember your as well to do the dmf if your going to the extremes of a clutch. Did my 2 litre d and its really driving like new...From my experience, the Jerky acceleration was a turbo boost pipe split, however I have put all new filters and ran wynns diesel injector cleaner through several tanks. She runs like new, no smoke pulls like a train. These 2 litre turbos are immensely torquey....looks great 👍
Yes you were right, it was the upper boost pipe on the driver side, now all fixed and drives superb.
What a beauty , like new ! Mine fled through the mot today 👍🏻
Oh no😢
I am saddened to see you it go. I have been following your video for a long while now, . however that is the problem with these cars,. they have so many common problems I have mine 5_years and changed all the same things you have, starter, injectors, brake cable, Belts, alternator, water pump. door handles etc. only got it back last week from Ford expert who looked at the wiring for me. I know the shocks, bushings and other rubber is starting to perish, I am afraid to check the sills So do I put more time/money/effort and "off road time" into keeping it,, or let it fly as beautiful as the x-type looks ,, it does not drive like a 2018 Merc C class :(
What a shame, mine has just turned 20 this year and running well., it a 3.0 V6 AWD with 79,000 miles. I found your videos very helpful as I like to do as much on mine as I can. I do hope you get another one and keep the informative videos coming for the XType
