      @FeiFeiKal หลายเดือนก่อน

      Definitely not! At least it's too soon to tell, we've only been here for 3 months. Living expenses wise, generally we find it reasonable here, it's hard to summarize in one comment. We do have a living expenses comparison series in our channel and we've already uploaded some videos there! We'll be covering more aspects of it in the future :) you can check out our videos, there are very comprehensive comparisons there!

      Hi!! Yep that's what we did! It's a great option as long as you meet the points required! We did it a few years ago so the requirement might be slightly different. Good luck with your plans to move to Canada! ☺️

    Damn!!! I feel bad for him. I'm the "previous" gen and many of these slangs were used by our own gen. He's cooked = he's been found out and will suffer the consequences 😂. Let him cook (... otherwise you will suffer the same fate😅😂). He's cooking = he's rocking or he's in the "zone"🤣🤣. Ate?!?😮 We know it as killing/killed it.😂 Mewing is the action of keeping your mouth closed but letting out a grunt-like muffled noise that resembles the "m" sound. Similarly to humming but acknowledging and refusing depending on "tone" and facial expression.

      @FeiFeiKal 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for the insights! 😂 It’s hilarious to see how some of these terms have crossed generations but taken on slightly different meanings. Love the breakdown of 'he’s cooked' and 'let him cook'-makes so much sense now! And wow, ‘mewing’ has a whole new layer I hadn’t even considered. It’s awesome to see how slang evolves but still keeps that connection across generations. Appreciate you sharing this!

    For the chicken bouillon cubes. They are placed in the international aisle as most of us Canadians prefer purchasing the bulk/loose format. This is available in the soup/broth aisle, the Canadian staple brand is "Loney's", lee kum Kee and Knorr. As a simple comparative their standard size is 400gr which sells for 5.99$ and depending on which stores are available to you; Knorr and lee Kum Kee also sells similar product though much larger 1kg for 13$. Where i am situated in canada (quebec), we also have restaurant suppliers that are open to the public (kinda like costco but much better selection and price). For example, 1kg of Rose Hill (canadian company based here) chicken broth is 10,25$, their 5kg pail is 35,99$ and their 5 gallon pail contains 20kg for 99,99$. These institutions also carry fresh items like any other grocery stores (per example they offer mushroom 227gr for 2,29$, 1,5kg for 11,99$ or 2,27 kg for 17,99$) but offer an array of alternative to display (catering ustensiles), take out, plates and such instead of using Amazon or other avenues. If you want i am sharing the two largest chains near me. aubut.ca and mayrand.ca both sites are bilingual.

      Thank you so much for sharing all this info! It’s really interesting to hear about the different options in Quebec, especially the bulk sizes for things - those prices sound pretty budget-friendly if you’re buying in larger quantities. We didn’t know about Aubut and Mayrand, and just had a look. Look crazy good to be honest. Almost too good to be true haha. Having alternatives like these for bulk shopping and restaurant supplies is great, especially since they offer more variety beyond the usual grocery items. Really appreciate the local tips! I’m sure others watching will find this useful too. Thanks again for taking the time to share!

    Yeahhhh 😅 Alberta is much more expensive. Fyi when doing comparatives for Canada, I'd recommend that you specify from the beginning your jurisdiction/province. I am situated in Quebec Canada 😂, the province with the most beauty care products head offices and distribution centres and the only jurisdiction in all of north america with the cheapest electricity at a measly 0.078$/kWh. Municipalities here in Quebec fund their water and wastewater services through property taxes, no charges per volume and tenants here do not contribute any funds to the property tax as this falls onto the property ownership duties.😅😂😂

    • @FeiFeiKal
      @FeiFeiKal 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Heyy!! Thanks for the comment! Wow that sounds like a dreamland hahaha. Yep yep, we will indicate the province in the videos from the next one, so it’ll be easier to map the differences. It is super interesting to see how taxes and things are pooled up with other things. I guess we’ll need a very comprehensive research to understand the whole structure. We will for sure look into it to bring clarity in the videos!! Thanks again for the feedback. We look forward to hearing more!!

    I’m interested in this kind of thing. No idea why! Anyway canada isn’t as expensive as I thought. Overall it’s about 20% more than the uk. I’m pretty sure wages are higher in Canada so I suppose it balances out.

    • @FeiFeiKal
      @FeiFeiKal 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Love that you found the video is interesting. Yep we are quite curious about all those stuff as well. For bigger countries, those expenses actually could vary significantly from a city to a city as well, and yeah supposedly there should be an equilibrium with wages and expenses, but it’s broken in many places.
