This is the section from the 2005 "All I Want" documentary about "Dinner At Eight," perhaps Rufus Wainwright's most poignant song. In order of appearance: Marius de Vries Anthony DeCurtis Rufus Wainwright Kate McGarrigle Martha Wainwright Mark Gatiss

Memories from Niagara Falls. The music is an original composition.
One of my favorite songs of all time. When I first heard it I burst into tears. Hope to hear it live someday ❤
This songs makes me feel empty. 😢
I dont think this would actually work....
I watched this documentary and appreciated this segment on its face the first time, but now I see the great mixing job from studio version to several different live versions. All similar arrangements and in the same key.
Rufus I salute you for making belovely attempt of getting along with your father hearing him and being there for him. I am in the exact same stage with my parent. Inspiring ox
This, along with "patience is a virtue" should've been included on the standard version of "release the stars".. two of his finest ever, and that's saying a lot
"Breathtaking" is right
It's a stick pin.

Excellent song... sounded great.
At my first Rufus Wainwright concert (in 2005, I believe) he played this and told us it was his first time playing it during a concert. It holds a very special place in my heart.
It was on a limited edition release of 'Release the stars,' or something like that, there was another one too 'Cowboy love song,' least I think that's what it was called, with an instrumental version of 'Do I disappoint you?' You should be able to find it on itunes.
One of his finest ...
lovely song - thanks for posting.
