Could you explain the theory behind the mordant and the trill in the bach 2 part invention pls. Some recordings have mordants being played as trills . And the trill carrying on for the tied bars as well.

In piece no.5 Kuhlau: Allegro Molto (1st Movt from Sonatina in F, Op. 88 no. 4) , In bar 27 and 29 , the first note is tied to a staccato. How are we supposed to play it? Should the staccato note be striked again?

Is this einaudi the exam version? I am a little worried as I have the original score which is considerably longer than this version. Please could you confirm this with me? I’d be very grateful. Thank you.

SOME THINGS I’VE NOTICED IN THE EXERCISES I’M PLAYING: 1:05:37 entrancement (ex 1d) Haven’t noticed any issues in this exercise so far 1:06:10 show-off (ex 2c) There are some timing issues in your bars 2,3 and 4!! Bar 2: Quavers in R.H are not played on beat ‘4 and’ (last quaver beat of bar). They are instead is played on the first beat of bar 3, which is incorrect! Bar 3: The 4 beamed semiquavers (octaves) are played on beat ‘1 and’ instead of beat 1 (they should come directly after the quavers in the R.H at the end of Bar 2). Bar 4: Quavers in R.H are not played on beat ‘3 and’. They are instead played on beat 4, which is also incorrect!!! If you are using this as a guide/help for your g8 exam, be careful to play it correctly and trust yourself if u think there might be a mistake!
