Leadership Lessons Learned From 200 Episodes
I completely agree. I am a recruiter, and I do not believe in ghosting, I believe in communication. I will block out a certain amount of time every day to ensure that my emails are looked at twice a day and that all of my requisitions are being taken care of. I have just come through a time period of 6 months of not being employed and were ghosted by 98% of the applications that I put in. I put in over a thousand applications to give you a broader view of that number. Thankfully I just started a job this past Monday but that was something I could never do to another person.
It's scarey how much this resonates with my last job 😆
Thanks for sharing. I'm glad that's not the case anymore. Appreciate you listening to the show.
Glasses.
Im about to be a lead housekeeper for a remote camp. I had a situation with a 19 year old girl and im in my 50s and I had no concept of this generation gap, it did not go well and need to learn the build the gap
That is good advise for neurotypical people! No guessing, just be straight and clear.
I loved sharing my philosophy of going from onboarding to foreverboarding. Relationships@Work is high-value podcast. I loved serving. Let me know what resonated😏
Love that walking the halls and listening. Imagine what would happen if more leaders did this? Larry Berg had a saying, "You need to get out of the balcony and get on the dance floor".
Outstanding content. Company leadership is desperate for this information. I’ll be taking some of key points with me. Kudos. 👍
Really appreciate the kind words. Hope you enjoy more of the channel.
It was great to join you, Russel! Thanks for having me and I hope your listeners find great value in our conversation!
Fantastic conversation with Beverly. Subscribed.
Thank you! Beverly is amazing. And thank you for subscribing. I hope you get a chance to check out our other amazing guests on the show.
Values are so important.
This really resonates. Thank you ❤
Loved this. People want to know that we care. Imagine how difference our experience at work would be if it felt more like we were part of a "Community of Care".
Thanks so much, Sharon. These are HUGE tests for leadership. Real tests that determine the quality of that leadership. It's why it's so important for us to do the work so we create that community so we can not only pass these tests but be a source for support and care.
Notice how she dominated the entire time? Notice how you debased yourself as a white person for her? Nobody does malignant narcissism like black woman in this evil religion of Wokeness. She lives in Accra, Ghana, ffs. Take a look at the street views of Accra in Google Maps, sometime. Donald Trump was RIGHT.
This is brilliant and so needed.
Thanks so much for the comment and kudos! Organizations love to talk about great leadership and then don't take the steps to ensure it. What a great opportunity!
So good!
Thanks for posting this important topic. At Cambridge Judge Business School, we also did a livestream on how leaders and managers need to think about mental health with Prof Thomas Roulet and Dr Kiran Bhatti who use evidence-based research. One of the things they mention is the importance of having senior leaders like Erin being open about their mental health. th-cam.com/video/FqJTOaopBP0/w-d-xo.html
Incredible learning through play as it does help us get out of our heads. Great conversation!
Awesome video
Thanks for having me on the show Russel! Such an important conversation for employer brand leaders and HR pros. Optimizing your #EmployerReputation is a huge opportunity in 2024.
Thank you again Russel. Our conversation is incredibly timely with the current economic conditions and the labour market. Job seekers are looking for stability with organizations who treat employees fairly and with respect. Those who provide this will attract top talent. Great conversation with some real practical tips for all job seekers.
So many important insights here, especially in a society that expects workers to sublimate everything to job performance reviews, etc. Great questions, great answers!
Thank you for the feedback and your comment. Really appreciate it and how much value you found in our work identity conversation.
Stellar episode, packed with many take-aways. Thank you!
Thanks so much, Page! Please share with others if you think they'd find it of value.
