This is the Trolling Motor version of the battery, so a propeller will be in the water and, when you shut off the motor, the forward motion of the boat can spin the propeller and generate electricity, I think, in the opposite direction. This diode protects the sensitive electronics from that power input. Since the specs on the battery state that they are setting the BMS to a lower temp than 0 C / 32 F, we know it isn't a mistake. It is a company that engineers and manufactures batteries, so isn't it possible that they know more about this battery than we do? Maybe their research and development team has discovered that with the placement of their probe, (which also serves has to be placed with the high temp cut off in mind) stopping the charge when the PROBE reaches down to 0 C would stop the charging well before actual CELLs reached 0 C and would be at risk of being damaged by charging, thus making the battery less useful to someone who is using a battery for year round outdoor activities like fishing. Just a thought.

I doubt very many Chinese inverters would go below 10 volts before it completely stops. I don't see 9.9 volts as a problem at all. you giving that battery away ill take it the way it is

When I first started watching Solar related video's 3 odd years ago....the standard price for a 12v 100Ah was around $500- and the brand names were like $700- or more. I think there is still a lot of room for further price decreases.....I wouldn't be surprised to see sub $100- over the next 2 years and maybe even $50- in 5 years. If you look at the history of things like cars, TV's, fridges, washing machines....they were all absolute luxury items when introduced but it didn't take long for them all to become accessible to all folk.....the parabolic curve of solar and components, in both expansion & price decreases, is even more so. It's exciting to think that more and more folk will embrace this :)

Will Prowse connected the Siekon 100Ah battery to his car lift and it lifted it., The amp meter read over 300 amps. Needless to say, he was shocked.

Saw a couple of different offers yesterday from $149. to $175.99 Crazy how cheap LiFePo4 batteries are getting. 2 years ago it was a good deal at $399. It also looks just like any of the Enjoybot battery family which includes Chins, Ampere Time, Redodo, and their own Enjoybot brand. Some of the Chins shipping boxes say Chins, an Enjoybot Company.
