I just found your channel, and your review for Chem 121 is great! I am retaking this class to refresh my credit for my desired program. My current class is online without lectures, which is not my preferred way of learning. Thank you for these videos! I wish I had some of the handouts you offer your classes too. All this to say, you are amazing and thank you!
2024 this helping me
Love it ❤
Dr. Pikul. Why dose Cu get two electrons? How do we know exactly the number of outermost electrons in a transition element? At 22:33
Thanks alot dr. Pikul, my exams around the corner ❤
Is the glowing molten metal is iron ?
Its quite brilliant, thanks alot!
Thank you for the video but are you sick or why are you talking like this
Thank you so much!
good! note to sellf
Life-saver, I am not that great in lab sessions so this helps my workflow, thanks!
Thank you; god bless you
love it
where did the -2 for electrons come from 12:00
The definition of a lithium atom is 3 protons. If a lithium atom is an element there will be no overall charge, which means it will have 3 electrons (a negative charge of 3) to balance out the positive 3 charge from the protons. A lithium ion will have a different number of electrons then protons. In the case of lithium, which forms a +1 charge there will be fewer electrons then protons. 2 electrons will create a +1 charge on the atom if there are 3 protons.
thx
Thank you so much for posting this! IT was such a clear and easy explanation!
I'm confused about which part are you using?
@ 4:43 I misread the pH of the buffer solution, it is 9.22 and not 7.22.
for the 500 nm wavelength i keep getting 3.98E-19 ...
Using this method, I actually didn't get the same answer. I got 3.6 x 10^(-16) M rather than 2.8 x 10^(-13) M.
Me too!!! I must have copied the wrong number from my notes, I calculate them before hand so you don't have to watch me punch in numbers on a calculator... but sometimes i copy the wrong number from the calculation. Thanks for catching this and sorry for the error!
