Great presentation. However, the comment early in the lecture about not leaving any red on the end of the PRF - this is not in line with the current research. Richard Miron’s group has done a lot of very clever work on pulling off and analyzing fractions of PRF tubes to tell where in the sample the cells are going. It turns out the red buffy coat has an high concentration of regenerative cells and molecules present, and so intentionally removing this makes no sense, and in fact (depending on the PRF protocol being used), if you aren’t using the entire PRF and were going to discard part of it, you would actually WANT to use the end with the red still attached.

Thank you, Dr. Rodrigo Neiva. After following your concept in GBR, in almost every case succeed by using allograft and collagen. No matter horizontal or vertical ridge augmentation around the implant or natural teeth, this concept is the gold standard to me because of less complication and more success. As lay person, I am impressed about Dr. Naiva's honesty with which he recounts trials and errors over the years. His discoveries are impressive. He displays sensitivities to subtleties, and shows attention to incredible detail, like a couture tailor would to constructing a finely shaped custom garment, using the best materials, tools and procedure techniques.
