Ideal Index Portfolio - LOW RISK PORTFOLIO?
When you build your own #InvestmentPortfolio it can be immensely useful to have state of the art examples to look at. There are numerous “off the shelf” portfolios that were built by some of the most successful investors like the All-Weather Portfolio by Ray Dalio, for example. This video is part of a new series in which I explore some of the most successful and well-known #PortfolioStrategies using worldwide low-cost ETFs.
In this particular video, we will look at the #IdealIndexPortfolio which was designed by #FrankArmstrong - an investment advisor and author of many finance books. We will look at what it is, how you can build it yourself and how it has performed in the past - particularly against an All-Stocks and the 60/40 Portfolio. This video goes above and beyond just numbers and charts, but gives you real-world insights. Enjoy!

It's really hard from a behavioral standpoint due to the continued US outperformance over the last 15 years, but from an objective, scientific point of view, investors should choose VT for global diversification. The expense ratio has been decreased to just 0.07%, and I don´t think this should be a factor in the decision making process. US-based investors may think about VTI+VXUS if they plan to claim the foreign tax credit.

What if the AP or the ETF provider suddenly start manipulating the number of outstanding shares to jack up prices, but the shares that the ETF has actually invested in are not performing well? I mean, tracking is one aspect of pricing, creation and redemption is another. What if the two aspects do not fit well?

We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. Interesting video but you left out a few important points. 1) The U.S. is not an exporting economy. Less than 4% of its economy is involved in international trade. 2) Japan made a political decision to slowly deflate the bubble as opposed to "ripping off the band-aid." It has taken them 30 years to deflate their economy. 3) Doller cost averaging is a good strategy if you are investing in a "sound economy." Historically, most stock markets revert to zero.

Because of dividends, I first began investing in stocks. It's important, in my opinion, to be able to live off of dividends without selling if you invest and make other income in addition to payouts. It suggests that you may pass that down to your kids and give them a leg up in life. Over the years, I've invested over $600k in dividend stocks; I continue to buy more today and will keep doing so until the price drops even further.

Right now the Spot ETF's are only allocating 1-3% toward Bitcoin. Later they might offer 4,5 or even 10%. So to me it doesn't make sense to invest in such a low allocation in Bitcoin. Get it from a reputable exchange.
