The original neck was badly bent. I sawed it off and installed a Telecaster neck. I don't have a video of it yet. But I can email some photos if you send an email address. 🪕

@@uftrungentv Yes this instrument takes us back to the days of good old fashioned Dixieland Jazz. It's a super loud hybrid instrument cause the drum head is acting like a really loud amp and this allowed Guitarists to be heard over the horns way before we had amplification back in the 1920s and 30s.

@@uftrungentv It even takes Standard Guitar Strings. I like using JS110 Strings cause they'll save the frets from scratches. Banjitars need to use very light gauge strings so that the head will vibrate more freely making the instrument louder.

@@RockStarOscarStern634 I use thin electric guitar strings on the old instrument. This also protects the neck of the banjo and it plays very well. Due to the relatively small resonance body, it is of course not very loud. For performances I use a banjo with a piezo pickup.

The Banjo was from Musima (GDR around 1970). From time to time you still find offers via eBay.
