Norwegian registered refrigerated cargo vessel POLFOSS leaving Scrabster Harbour on 28/8/2024 on its journey from Thorshavn on the Faroe Island to Grimsby in North Lincolnshire UK 🇬🇧. The EIMSKIP owned vessel, built in 2008 and sailing under the flag of Norway 🇳🇴, was loaded with seafood for the many processors in the Grimsby area.

It says on the truck the transport firm is from Wick
I’m afraid it’s now a race to the bottom regarding drivers wages and conditions and that’s why so many skilled men have jacked it in…
Without truckers and farmers this country would starve, think about it for a while.!!
Everyone should be proud of, and recognise, the skill of truck drivers....and not just when the shelves are empty and the forecourts are closed.

Just imagine launching into that with oars, before power boats. You'd be wasted before you broke through the breakwater at the harbours mouth, with miles to go to reach the poor floundering boat you were off to save. Add in navigating to it in the dark. Whose says your great, great Grand father wasn't fit?
