After years of health problems and too many operations, Christmas day 2017, i found it difficult to swallow foods. 2018 i had an emergency Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass (RYGB). This was the beginning of my journey living with Artificial Nutrition. Started off with A jejunostomy tube (J-tube) is a soft, plastic tube placed through the skin of the abdomen into the midsection of the small intestine. But in 2020 this was causing too much discomfort and i was losing a lot of weight, so then i had a Hickman line.

This isnt an easy journey for myself and family as if you can imagine not being able to eat food when its a culture and social thing we do every day in our lives.
