Oakdale UAV Solutions is a Commercial drone service provider based in the Central west of NSW Australia.

Target Oriented Via Remote Setup
After the Fruit tree mapping has been completed, Target Oriented mode can be setup in the T40's Remote controller.
This mode is great for Vineyards, Orchards, Fence/Creeklines and akward shapes.

DJI T40 Rotary Spraying via Remote Setup

After the the DJI T40 has done it's Fruit tree mapping, many 3D routes can be created out in the field via the Remote Controller. This is a basic tutorial on how I setup Rotary mode with the remote and what it looks like when Performed.

The DJI T40 has the capability to perform Fruit Tree mapping with it's FPV Camera. Able to map up to 5.3 hectares per battery, the T40's remote processes the imagery, which is later used to create 3D flight routes.

DJI T40's Rotary spraying mode via Terra

Using DJI's Terra with my T40 Spray drone I am able to create alot of different flight patterns. This one is called Rotary and by utilizing Terras Fruit Tree function is created by locating Tree Crowns or Target centres.

So what happens after we map a site? I upload the images onto DJI's Terra mapping software and start with the reconstruction. This is a quick video on how I do just that.

Most of the mapping I do now days is for aerial application with my DJI T40. For the larger more complex sites I use the Mavic 3 Multispectral.

Mapping with the DJI T40

The DJI T40 uses it's FPV Camera and RTK sytem to accurately map up to 5 hectares. It uses the remote controllers onboard computer to process and create a 2 dimentional map for flight planning, opposed to a satelite base map.
My Application workflow

When applying products with my DJI T40 on large jobs, I use a straight forward workflow. I map the site with a Mavic 3 Multispectral, Process and Locate the treatment areas using DJI's Terra agriculture software. Then upload onto my DJI T40 spray drone to apply products.

Aerial Spreading with the DJI T40

The DJI T40 has a Spreader attachment, which is easy to Calibrate and holds up to 50 kilograms of product. With a material capacity between 0.5 to 5 millimetres it can spread Pellets, Granules, Seeds and grain.

Yep, very important for flight planning
What’s that stand you have the drone on? Home made? Or did you buy it?
It's a fold out work stand I bought from Supercheap auto, bit of a task getting the T40 onto it, but it works great
