By the way, you inspired me to get legend myself this season I did it with excavate dk, dragon druid and handbuff paladin (what a suprise) and it really made appreciate how the game meta in another way, playing casual decks you get really mad at cards or decks but when you are actually trying to win, the only thing that matters is winning, if you are not winning, pick a better deck or play better (usually the second) which is a complete diffetent mentality than what i usually play

Yeah there is really nothing like ranked ladder in card games. It make you question things like what it means for something to be “fair”. I’m glad I motivated you fren 😄 I’m putting that legend card cover on everything lol

Casually playing 9/9 1 cost minions with all types of Tuant,Divine Shield, Lifelink nonsense is just despicable behavior 😂 I didn’t even notice how busted it was until I started playing.

Oh wow, I’ve never heard that! I’m loving all the different Mage players providing their own insight on how they play. Which version of the deck do you play? I’ve run into a version that uses a lot of elementals but that’s about it.

I’m using a version that’s exclusively spells, no minions. A lot of “if you deck has no minions, do x” things, as well as yogg-saron, The one that casts a spell for each spell you’ve cast. It’s schnasty.

It's just my noob brain showing. I'll try keeping it in the future! I was told to always keep it by another source but tbh I didn't really get it. Spot the Dif always seemed solid to me but not any more solid than the other cards. Manufacturing and the Keyboard on the other hand always seemed blatantly busted. I'll have a section talking about it in the next video!

Yeah I was thinking about Handbuff. I’m going to try hitting D10 with Spell Mage one more time and after that I’m probably going Handbuff Paladin out of spite lol

That weapon is crazy! I already have a somewhat playable version but to be honest I’m not sure where to find good decklist

They’re actually all super cool! It’s weird how much inaccurate information is out there regarding what decks are good. They help you find the truth!

I think we go other game modes after we hit legend. Just because of how my next couple months are looking I won’t have time to climb the ranked ladder in the future. So if I want to get this done I have this month, next month, and that’s it. The pressure is on!

@@TheFrogOfDestiny sure its up to you - just in keep mind that those modes rotate often, so if you don't try Twist now, it may be gone by the end of the month. Also Tavern Brawl resets every week, and just 1 win gets you free pack.

I’ll for sure keep playing and exploring the other game modes! Prior to this series I typically uploaded like, once a month though lol. I’m heading to graduate school in August and will have 20+ credit semesters headed my way so unfortunately we might see return to the once a month format. Hopefully I can hit legend before then!

Yeah the two strategies have pros and cons. The control decks are more skill intensive which can make loses feel not as bad to me because at least there was something I could’ve done. That Aggro RNG can be brutal sometimes.

@@TheFrogOfDestiny 100% I play control in every class (even the ones who dont really have a control deck) in casual and the good ones in ranked precisely because i like having time to think, change my deck for specific opponents and overall coming up with long term plans Than playing 7 minions 3 times and if they remove 3 times i lose

Honestly hearthstone having a 75 second turn timer is crazy to me. It punishes the control style in general. So many games I would’ve won with Spell Mage if I had more time. Yugioh Masterduel turns are 5 minutes and people still lose on time fairly often.

@@TheFrogOfDestiny Spell mage is more aggro than tempo with all the burn lol The timer is not as much of a issue when you dont need to read every single card you discover because you been playing for so long that you know what every card does, being new to the game that can be very tiring But yeah, some times control players dont make optimal plays because they did not think enough, usually because of time

@@TheFrogOfDestiny yeah, when you new player not all things are obvious. Some of those spells have bonus effects under certain conditions, it takes some time to utilize them correctly.

@@TheFrogOfDestiny is quite common in the lower ranks. Names like "ThisThat" who play common cards with no sinnergy (like murlocs then beasts then some taunt) and never hover over the same card twice are 99% sure bots.

I love MTG! I’ve never really played at a decent level but I know the rules and own like 5k cards lol. I bought them in packs of 1000 for like $20 bucks because I liked the lore. Every now and then I can play kitchen table magic with my family and friends. I thought about getting into MTG arena but it didn’t seem that free to play friendly compared to Master Duel, where you can constantly buy meta decks and never spend money. I don’t think ygo players realize how lucky we are to have a simulation so free to play friendly.

I’m loving the breakdown! Did not know that about the fusion lock. Just goes to show how no amount of studying a deck is a replacement for playing the thing. I also didn’t know that about Dotscaper! Yeah apparently you actually cannot draw even if props effect gets negated. Tough. I must admit I’m only not running the floodgates because I don’t feel they fit the deck at the moment lol. I’m glad you found the video helpful! (^_^) My first recommendation for this deck in particular would have to be crafting 3x Elder Entity N’tss. For your overall collection of cards however crafting at least 1 Chaos Angel, and 1 Knightmare Unicorn is good because they are generic staples. Then craft Garura, last craft Tri-Brigade Arms Buccephalus. You will not need a UR 5 Headed dragon because any high attack extra deck monster will do. Stardust Sifr Divine Dragon is a 4k rare monster if you need a cheap alternative. Also put Kitkalos into the extra deck. I personally would remove Bagooska or Knightmare Unicorn for her. Good luck!

@@TheFrogOfDestiny can you please explain how you use the fusion cards since their is no fusion spell in the deck? I’m assuming you are doing something with the Transaction Rollback?

The trap card Dogmatika punishment! :D Dogmatika Punishment sends extra deck monsters to the graveyard to destroy cards on the field. Some monster have effects when they are sent to the grave! So Elder Entity N’tss is a fusion monster, but it also destroys a monster when sent to the graveyard! This is why it is useful to us. Garura lets you draw a card when it is sent to the graveyard. Kitkalos sends 5 cards from the deck to graveyard when sent to the grave (kitkalos specifically helps for transaction rollback).
