Now this is cool. I watched the solar eclipse, not from the ground, but from the ISS (International Space Station) live camera feed. I had calculated the ISS would likely pass over the southern tip of the umbra (the total shadow on the ground) and definitely pass over the penumbra (the partial shadow), as the ISS crossed Quebec and Maine. For ages I've wanted to build my own hurdy gurdy. This year I finally got round to it, with lots of help and guidance from Neil Brook, whom has built several of my instruments. It's a 3 chanter renaissance styled gurdy in D/G. Made from maple and spruce, with traditional oil based violin varnish laid down in 11 coats over several months, it's loud for it's size! mtv aesthetic? um what? music videos were created BEFORE mtv and had this "aesthetic" before and AFTER they fucked off with actually being mtv. (that is, being "music" television) im only reacting this way because mtv doesnt need this type of attention or love. fuck mtv and what its become. this is simply a dope music video with good edits. THATS the aesthetic.
